I can't believe it!!!!!! Square Enix president, Yoichi Wada, announced earlier today at E3 during the Microsoft keynote that FFXIII would be coming to the Xbox 360! I don't think anyone expected it, but it happened. During an interview after the announcement, Wada stated that the PS3 and 360 versions will be the same. Also, Final Fantasy Versus XIII remains exclusive to Sony's console. I can't wait for this one. This was a big reason that I was considering getting a PS3, but now I might not. I hope Versus XIII makes the jump as well!

I was just going to post this too. Incredible, but understandable at the same time since developers need to amortize the expensive development of a game like this. I'm also guessing MS might've have compensated Square Enix in some way.

I hate the FF series, but anything to take away from the PS3 I am all down for.

is this going to be back along the lines of FFXII, or more online based like FFXI?

That is crazy that it's going to XBox too though, can't say I saw that one coming.

I think it will be more single player based. There has been no mention of Live support. The 360 and PS3 versions are supposed to be the same, so I think it will be more like XII than XI.

When asked about similarities between previous games, Square Enix stated that all their games are unique and FF XIII will not be an exception. They said it will be flashier than the previous installment in the series. I would guess that it would be closer to FF XII than FF X though.
