| We should have a deal record sort of thing like the trade record, as to make people more or less trustworthy? Just a suggestion |

| We'll see about that. Let the forum exist for at least a few minutes before you start piling on the phpbb mods. |

I don't think we should have that. It would just complicate things. Mods would have to go through BST's and approve them which would take a lot of time out of moderating against scammers and things that are more important here.
I do have 2 recommendations for this forum though -
1. Take out the bold in the title of the subforum. It's very distracting and it doesn't look very professional in my opinion.
2. If you want to do a trade such as trade item for item or item for cash, then you should put the trade icon in. If you found a good deal, you should put in a thread icon called "Killer Deal" or "Great Deal" or just "Deal" because I don't want to have to browse through this whole forum with all of these trades if I'm just looking for a good deal. Now I know there isn't any thread icons that say "Deal" on them or anything like that, so someone should make one. I could make one if noone feels up to it. |

I understand why he's giving this a shot, but I forsee problems ahead. A board so centered around freebie hunting invites scammers (as we've seen). So, creating a forum where money is more likely to change hands would invite more.
It's well intentioned, but even with a disclaimer, Admin will likely get an ulcer over this. |

| I think this forum could get by as just being a good deals forum. I'd rather see cool offers on good deals than people trying to promote their stuff. |

i understand your concern and we did discuss this and we decided that if your to stupid to realize that your being scammed well then to bad. plus most dealing will be on ebay anyways. and deals that arent on ebay well they are risky but if people want to do it why stop them |

eBay is a bit different. That takes most of the heat off the board and Admin, but if some other kind of deal goes bad, even if Admin/Mods have nothing to do with it, some idiot will try and make a case that the board is partly responsible.
Hey, I like that new things are being tried out, but I've seen other board pull their buy/sell/trade forums once that happened.
I hope I'm wrong about this one, though. |

| I personally wouldn't buy/sell anything off of ebay. This is going to be useful, though, cuz people were getting bent out of shape when other people promoted their eBay auctions. So it's good for that. I would put a disclaimer that the Admin/Owner has nothing to do with any sales on this site, if it doesn't exist already. |

we could document sales in the trading forum(not for TR)
but just to ensure if someone does scam they are caught |

| I'm not going to buy anything either, so I would love if there was a deals icon that people could use so I know where to look. It's the only reason I visit A4F anymore, so if we have that here, I can cleanse myself permanently. |

| I think that there should be like ONE THREAD for each user. Like h3x here who just posted like 10+ different sale threads. One "master sales thread" for each seller should be good enough to prevent flooding, yes? |

| Deal record is a bad idea, i doubt many people are going to use this forum as their sole outlet to sell things, it should just be if you have some useless crap you don't need anymore once in a while. I dont think a record would be beneficial obviously a active member of the community here would not want to risk their reputation and obviously no one is going to come solely here to try to sell things, so IMO its kind of a mediocre idea... |
