Hey all I was just approached to do a cash for green trade, me to pay them . I was told it was a rule here on this forum that everyone with the lower TR must pay up front for all trades, is that the case?
Help please |

| Yes. You can confirm this by reading the rules... |

| well i do see in the rules g4g yet I fail to see the pay for cash. Having this is a rule sure seems to encourage and support the scammers. |

No worries, CG. She's just a little confused because a trader is telling her that people paying cash for greens have to pay first no matter what. Obviously this isn't the case. She was trying to find out more in the rules but got a little puuuuuuuuurplexed.
For the record, cash for greens falls under the same rules as green for greens. |

Thanks for taking the time to respond to a newbie HERE. So it can be said if a trader wants to pay another to green thier site then the one with the lower TR MUST pay UPFRONT the other trader.
Thanks 14320 for responding |

Seems like one of you two (or both) is a bad communicator. Here's a post report he made concerning you.
| Quote: |
| Referenced TR from somewhere else. Also, spoke with her via YIM about 3 minutes ago to do a trade and apparently she doesn't understand what it means to go first. She seems to think going first only applies to G4G trades. She then wanted to tell me about her TR as and how's she's a mod at two forums and whatever blah blah. I don't know who she think she is but for someone to have over 200TR and doesn't know that the rule of lower TR goes first applies to all trades is odd. We agreed to not to a trade but I did recommend she ask any mod for an explanation about the rule if she doesn't believe me and after me giving her the link to the rules. |

I will admit to not knowing that a g4g and a trade for cash were the same. This is the only site I know of that insists a trader pay up front to have someone green for them. Here is a quote of what this trader said and they did say I had to pay upfront
(8/23/2008 4:48:27 PM): LOL. Uh, Barb, there are different types of trades Cash for Referral, Green for Green and Other. The rule applies to all types of trades. For example, if you have lower TR and engage in a G4G trade then you green first. If you have lower TR and engage in a Cash for Referral trade you pay upfront first. Surprising you didn't know that. But ask a mod if you don't believe me. Anyway, I have a trade to complete. Can't talk right now |

Since when did paying upfront become a requirement. I always was under the impression it was a Suggestion but two traders were able to negotiate whatever they wanted?????

It is a rule the applies unless both people agree differently. It's there in case neither people agree. |
