Okay here is the deal.
If you have a complaint, issue, are looking for information, want to discuss, argue, flame or any other reason for posting about freepay and the 360's. Post it here. Posting outside of here will result in temp ban. Since every other thread gets locked down sometimes for good reasons and sometimes for not, this thread will not get locked.
I'm going to close the other threads that are open. Feel free to start over here.
Enjoy. |

I just wish the customer service was a bit more personalized. Not just from the Xbox360 issue, but in general. I've been Processing (and now Pending Approval - glitch) since 1/27 on a white iPod video, and when I sent something in a couple of days ago, I got one of the textbook scripted answers.
On their sites, when they are having inventory issues, they should have a meter, like
What we have ----------------- goal #
just to let us know the rate at which they are getting their hands on the items for the bulk shipment
I dunno, the site could just be a little more personal. |

That's fine. But at least there is a central pinned location for people to post and discuss. If people choose not to use it, that is on them. |

Thats what I initially wanted to do as well, but now it's a present. If I had sold it back when demand was high I could have made a little profit on it, but I am happy I didn't because we kept our preordered one and now we're getting the free want for his best friend so they can play together online...men |

| Claiming they cannot buy them in bulk is now officially BS as well. I truly believe they are simply not trying to get 360's until they just fall into their laps. A friend of mine owns a major gaming chain (lan party type place) and just received a shipment of almost 1,000 xbox 360's. He said he had two sources to purchase these from, both which stated they would ship within 2 weeks from order date. If freepay really wants to get 360's, then they should expand their sources to something beyon efulfillment or whatever they use. |

| I agree if bestbuy and futureshop can get them then why can't Freepay? Like they will have majority over them but Freepay should still be able to get tons. |

WTF Jake, you want specifics? Telling you that my one friend that works for this one chain can get almost 1,000 xbox's from this one vendor isn't enough? |

I've posted enough intelligent responses in other threads about this same topic. I guess when you read thread after thread of people bitching about not getting their things immediately, how FreePay is unethical about not providing remotes (even though MS took them out of the package), I get a bit tired of it and post some sarcastic responses.
Common sense tells you that FreePay is doing what's in their power to get their hands on Xbox360's. People around here seem to think that Jake sits around with this thumb up his ass, giggling like a schoolgirl while people grow frustrated about not getting their 360's. They want to fulfill the orders as much as us customers want them fulfilled.
I do apologize for the asshole-ish posts, but I hope you understand where I'm coming from. I've been in the same boat, waiting 3 months for my first iPod, and I'm prepared to be in the boat waiting for the xbox 360. It's frustrating, believe me, I know.
I understand the frustration, I'm just asking that all the users have the same consideration for the moderators, and realize how frustrating it is to constantly weed through posts of complaints. |

I can see where your frustration comes from. However, common sense does not tell me Freepay is doing everything they can. I disagree that waiting on one bulk shipment is the way to go. Yes, a smaller shipment would hardly make a dent in their queue, but if they had been doing small shipments the whole time, how far would they be? More importantly, people would see that an effort was being made. If all units are bought at retail cost, where's the disadvantage?
I don't remember if I personally complained about the remote. If so, it was a knee-jerk reaction, and I apologize. That is beyond Freepay's control, and we should not expect it of them.
I guess the thing that gets me the most is that other companies are finding ways to make their customers happy. If every other site was still waiting on shipments and not offering alternatives, this would be a different story. And the "we have more customers" excuse can only hold water for so long. |

It sounds like Jake is willing to check in to other vendors, if someone can give him some leads. However, I bet it takes a lot of time to look into a vendor to make sure they are legit -- selling small groups of high-end electronics just sounds like an opening for a scam.
Seriously, if someone can give Jake a good lead on a reliable vendor for the xbox360s, I'm sure he'll follow up on it. |

I have gotten leads from some other people on other boards during this whole fiasco and none of them panned out. I am willing to look further if anyone has suggestions that I have not already checked out. |

| Jake; Back when I was in the video game business (aka, worked at a video game rental store) we used to do heavy business with Ingrammicro. Have you guys looked there yet? We also did business with Tech Data. At the time (when the PS2 launched) they were both able to hook us up. |

Damn...that brings back memories. I used to work for a computer supply company, and we did a lot of business with both of those vendors. I wasn't aware they did video games as well. They're both solid, if you haven't looked into them yet. |
