I have the Ultima group on my credit card statement for the trial offer but I know that they offer more than one thing.
As far as I know I didn't sign up for the teeth whitening

Was it actually charged, or is it just pending? Because if you did it today, it is very unlikely that they would have been able to charge you, seeing how there is usually an authorization period of a few days.
They might just place that there as a placeholder, so if you keep the offer, then they can get their money sooner (but only when the trial period is done). |

Ok, I am having some serious issues. I was attempting to do those $1 trial offers (passport to fun, shopping essentials, driving4dollars etc.) but the payment keeps declining because they're trying to charge $16 to my simon giftcard (which only has about $10 right now).

Was the agreement for payment "on green" or "on approval"?? Be aware that approval can take weeks or longer, depending on how close the trader is to finishing.

I was just charged full price by Video professor for the trial program I sent back as it was the wrong program.
I was credited for returning the trial on march 1st and 2 months later I am charged full price.
Does anyone have the phone number for them? I had it but threw out the info last week when I cleared out lots of papers after finishing my taxes. Go Figure I learn of this charge just after doing that!
Correction! I checked once more thinking I had filed away the info and I had.
I found the phone number just as they were closing so I need to call tomorrow about reversing this charge.

I've been having trouble contacting someone for a couple of charges, I'm pretty much cursed lately.
I did an offer for someone of pvps4free last month and it was taking a long time to go green so I wanted to contact the company so I could find out what was going on/how to fix it. The site will no longer let me sign in. It replies I have an invalid login/password. I can't find another way to contact them besides a phone number that just rings. It's 1-877-572-8550. They also have 2 email addresses that get returned an undeliverable. That's advertising@offercentric.com and inquiries@offercentric.com. So hopefully someone can give me some contact leads.
Another problem I'm having is with Financial Freedom. I've emailed them but received no reply and I was wondering if someone maybe has a phone number or alternate email. The one I have is customerservice@financialfreedom.com and the phone number I have is 1-801- 431-3800.
Just wondering about posting but I think I remember reading somewhere that you can only start a new thread every 5 days but then I think I saw it again saying 3 days. Can someone fill me in on this rule please?

aviendha47, on your credit card bill, there should be a phone number next to the name of the charge. Try calling that number if you haven't already.
Also, document every phone call, email, attempt you make to contact the people and if you still have no luck, file a dispute with your credit card company. They are usually pretty good about getting the charges removed - sometimes even with no documentation.

Hi kapos,
Billing can get out of hand at times. You've always got to be careful knowing the rules of the offer, their Terms of Service. Usually it's fairly easy to get contact information for the company you're working with.
Another way is on your bank/credit card statement. There should be a number next to the charge that you can call to work out whatever is going on. I've got to say only about 5% of my offers done have resulted in strange and unnecessary billing. For the most part my problems have been easy to fix.
As this thread shows though, it can really become a hassle. You've got to be wary on any offer you do and get as much info as possible in case something does go wrong.
If all else fails you can try to resolve things directly with your bank/credit card company. It might be worthwhile to check the Better Business Bureau too.
I wouldn't say to give up on doing offers, many of them are reliable. Just always cover yourself just in case.

The sad thing is I never completed anything yesterday; In fact I spent the day calling these yahoos and canceling this stuff. I got a little over $200 canceled yesterday. I have already got back the $49.95 from GMoney, but I waiting on 6 others. I need a number for this WISEHOUSE as well. The number goes to a fax!!! 800-333-1815 is no good. No more offers for me this is more trouble than it is worth. As soon as I get all my money back my bank is giving me a new card with a different number!!!! |

Hey was in the same boat as you, actually got the same charge on the same day only I got lucky enough to catch it when it was pending. Guess what there number really is to contact them? 800-333-1915 and that is the number that showed up while in pending .. but once it was completed showed up 800-333-1815.
Hope that helps anyone who might be in the same problem. And yea this thread is making me think twice about doing offers around here. |

I don't know if anyone else has run into this problem or not, but I thought that I would post just in case it might help someone. When I decide that a product is not for me, when I return the product, I make sure to purchase delivery confirmation (it's only about $.95 I think). This is why.
I had decided that I was not happy with a product called Distinction Non-Surgical Face Lift. I called customer service and received an RMA number for the return. I returned the product on July 6th via Priority mail. By purchasing the delivery confirmation, I was able to track the progress of the package. I checked on July 9th and saw that there was an attempt to deliver the package, but no one seemed to be at the address to accept delivery, so a notice was left for them to let the postal service know when to re-attempt delivery or when someone would pick it up. When I called customer service, the lady told me that she didn't know why no one answered to accept delivery, but all I had to do was call the postal service number to tell them to re-deliver because they don't send anyone out to pick up deliveries. I told her that since the notice was left for them, they needed to call. I had done my part on getting it there on time, so why do I need to call the postal service? She said that they would have someone to call for delivery.
I thought that everything was taken care of, but to my surprise (not really) on July 17th, I noticed that I had a charge of $59.95 on my cc. I use a debit card, so I can actually check my card activity daily. (just love that perk!) I called the number and lo and behold, it was a charge for Distinction. When I asked the customer service rep why I had been charged, she informed me that the product had just been received on July 16th, so I since I hadn't returned the product before the end of my trial period, I was being charged for the next month. I informed her that I had delivery confirmation and I could prove that delivery was attempted on July 9th, so since it was their fault that they hadn't received the package, I would be expecting a refund. There was a big silence, then she asked if she could put me on hold. I told her of course and I was put on hold for a few minutes. When she returned, she told me that she was issuing a refund to my card. I asked when I could expect it to post to my account and she told me within 2-3 days. I received my refund on July 20th.
I said all of this just to say that for $.95 I was able to have proof of my return, which made getting my refund much easier. Had I not been able to show that a delivery attempt was made on July 9th, the company could have told me that since my product was not delivered until after the trial period, I was still responsible for the next month's charge.
