Received the 60 gig ipod photo

wow, these seem so chunky after looking at my 6GB ipod mini. If you dont need much space or viewing pictures, sell it, buy the new 18hour battery mini, and pocket the cash. FUCK, I love the mini.

For those with the 20 gig, look how much they trimmed of the packaging i was amazed when i saw how small the box was in the hands of the courier. Was worried i got sent a mini or something)

Well since im heading to minneapolis to fly to vegas I will be right by the mall of america which has a apple store so i can return this for credit then buy it back with my student discount and get a dock for free basically. I really dont need 60 gigs since i have about only 10 gigs of music but hey lil room to grow right. Just feels good to get it, now i can move on to finish my psp and console

the 40gb is the same size as the 20gb

Heh, if it weren't for a couple of things that Apple could have imporved on the mini, I would have said that this was the best player.

However, I've never seen anything better in navigating thru the player and especially thru the songs than the clickwheel. DJ turntable-like volume changing and fast fw/rew are amazing. fuck, i can get to 45min of a 1.5hour mix in 2 seconds. That is the feature I've been looking for in years.

Granted it doesn't have radio and some other feats, it is really damn good and it looks fucking slick too. I dont care if others say you're paying for Apple name, I got it for $40 cheaper than Amazon sells them ($20 cheaper than Apple's educational price), and I couldn't be happier. When I get my free ipods, I'll just sell them.

You mean the 30GB...? The 60GB is a hair thicker than the discontinued 4G 40GB, and the new 30GB Photo is the same size as the 4G 20GB...which is hella better than the 3G 30GB, which was thick as all get out..

hmm knowing this, I really am considering the 30 gig now just for the fact of the $90 dLo car mount i use with my 20gig. I highly doubt the 60 would fit as its quite snug already. Is the connection on the bottom of the ipod the same between photo and regular ipod? Thanks fellas

The space between the FRONT of the iPod (the white part) and the dock connector is the same on all 4G regular and photo models. The space between the BACK of the iPod (the metal part) is the part that changes in thickness depending on the size of the hard drive it contains.
