PRETTY SWEET huh? I made a poll for Averatec v. iBook. I think I'm going to sell the laptop to raise funds for a Powerbook G5 when they come out.

That's insane. My list isn't nearly as impressive [the laptop is just BEYOND me], but in the past week

I already completed FreeDesktopPC [Dell Dimension 3000], FreeiPods [20GB HP iPod], and FreeFlatScreens [27" Sony WEGA] around Sept/Oct of last year.

I don't know how the hell you managed to clear the refs for your laptop, but I commend you for it. After FreePSPs and Cameras4Free, I may retire from the game for a bit and let the stuff that's been working for me do the job itself rather than seek any more refs actively.

You should get the $1000 and buy a PowerBook G5 with your educational discount.

When are they planning on releasing the G5s - has anyone heard anything?

Shifuimam, heard of something earlier on Gizmodo and Engadget (try a month or two ago) about some release in May and that they'd start selling sometime over the summer. The problem is, I don't think ThefreeProject offers $$, they just offer the Averatec and the iBook. I think I'll get the iBook, return it, and keep an Apple credit until the G5s come out. Do you think I could return it? And, I'm taking the $1000 from Notebooks4free, so the combined $2000 (after I sell/return the iBook/Averatec) will have me crusing on my way to a new Powerbook G5 with SuperDrive, built in wireless and bluetooth, and everything else. I'm finally "mac-ified". The Mac mini can tide me over until I get the Powerbook.

My first, and last refs were family. Three were people from here.

back to Podtopia's question, can we return stuff to apple stores that we get for free?

Well, you can exchange em for bigger ipods and stuff, so, you probably could return it.

but i think its only store credit, i want cash so it might go on ebay....

but if you're planning on buying a something else from apple then store credit may be better, you might not be able to sell on ebay for as much as apple will give ya (why would they buy from you if they can buy from apple for same price?)

nah, I don't buy anything apple. unless its another ipod but I want money for my first car so everything except my psp and some games is going for sale!

LOL Nicd.01. You may feel like you've been at it for a long time, but I was on FreeSlide.com, one of the ORIGINAL FreeiPod sites (a points site) last year in April. Then I found Gratis in June. Still haven't completed my FreeiPod ).
