$400 in useless Amazon gift certs, what to do with them?

I got a $300 amazon gift certificate from returning the 80gig ipod that I got from shop.freepay, and another $100 from redeeming credit card rewards points.

I looked through the amazon catalog and I don't see anything that catches my eye - as expected, because I'm not very materialistic. It would be pretty disappointing if I have to cash them out on eBay and turn them into another 15 days of rent. What would you buy if you were me, as a tool to bring about fulfillment in the future?

Did you look at their grocery section? You'll probably find a lot of things there you would buy anyway.

Let me know if you want to sell the amazon certs, I could use them for a few home purchases I was looking to make.

Yeah, I have the same problem (if you can call having extra money to spend a problem) b/c I have $508 to amazon that I don't know what to do with. Oh well, it's good for a long time, so I'm not too concerned about it now.

What about buying some ipods or other electronics and re-sell them on eBay ? You could put your ads on eBay and when they sell, have amazon mail them directly to the winner.

That's actually a fairly descent idea, except I will be able to spend it eventually, and it's not worth taking the hit on ebay/paypal fees and selling for slightly less than what I'll pay.

I was wondering if you can sell something on amazon then ask someone to buy it with you giftcards or vis versa would that work?
