Let The Digital High Definition Gaming Assult Being!!!

The fine people Trainn.org delievered on their promise of giving me a free xbox 360, oh the fools! They have no idea what they have unleashed on the online gaming community!!!

I'm realyl glad that I finally got this, I was worried when a friend's credit didn't go through and we my manual credit requests took a while to complete. Its understadble that their responces were slow, they are a great company and in my book get high marks. Although a form a live support would greatly help them pull in new people to their site as well as resolve issues faster, well that's at least my 2 cents.

Another thing I was puzzled about was that I was under the impression that I was getting a brand new Xbox 360 system and instead I got what apprently is a refurbished system (the hard drive was 1/2 filled with extra stuff I didn't download, unless this is how they are shipping their 360's these days) Not that's its a big deal, BELIEVE ME the system works fine and looks DEAD sexy on my high definition TV. Gears of War and Lost Planet in 1080i and 1080p blew my mind. Over all Trainn.org is a great company and I HIGHLY recommend their sites for thoes who are new the the freebie community.

It hasn't been unheard of in the past for some people to receive refurbs from some freebie sites. I know Freepay did it a few times. However I've not heard of Trainn doing it before. You might shoot them a support ticket to ask in case they aren't aware -- it's also not unheard of for a vendor to ship a refurb when they were supposed to ship new. If Trainn paid full retail for the 360, then it should have been new and they'll probably want to know about it.

Not that there's necessarily anything wrong with refurbs, just not at retail value. And what concerns me about this is the HDD with stuff on it. Part of the refurb process is to restore things to factory condition, which would include wiping the HDD. This sounds more like a customer return that got repackaged and resold by the vendor.

Extra stuff like what? My 360 was filled with dumb movies about everything ranging from E3 to The Titanic excavation. As long as there are no saved game or profiles still on there, It doesn't mean it's refurbished. One easy way to check is that there should be a limited warranty from MSFT in the box, check if it says refurbished on it.

Yea mine came with a lot of stuff on some of it was due to the xbox360 being able to play the older xbox games, and it came with the hexis demo or something weird like that and some traitors.

I don't recall anything being on my 360 HDD when I bought it. If it was, it would still be there, because I didn't erase anything. I'll have to check it when I get home. BTW I bought my 360 from Amazon.

When I got my 360, it also has some stuff in it. It had some video clips and some pics but no game saves.

Congrats, mine came as well, It's awesome....!!!

My 360 came with Kameo and Tomb Raider demos on it and I bought it brand new at Best Buy.

So yeah, apprently Microsoft is releasing the xbox 360's pro's with content already pre-loaded on to the HHD so it is new and not refurbished, sorry for jumping to conclusions ^_^ But geeze, lol microsoft packed a lot of stuff on to my HHD it was like 1/2 full when i got it, I guess I should be happy ;P

Just to re-affirm dmorris68's comments, we never have sent used or refurbished items. Everything sent is brand new.
