lucky...u got the newer version.
I received my ipod after 5+ months of waiting a few days b4 the newer ipod released.
I was able to trade it in for the newer version in the apple store though.

they let you trade in the older version for the new 80 gb? did they give you any hassles on this? I got a 60 also and would like to trade it in, anyone else do this?

if its brand new, they might let u do it. I traded in the 30gb for the newer 30gb verison. The guy just goes to the back for like 5 mintues and says they're not suppose to take back items not purchased directly from apple but he made an expection. D
Also I have heard ppl getting rejected by apple when they try returning or trading items without a recepit. It could go either way.
