After threatening them with legal action they seemed to comply with my demands. lol I had to ask them multiple times though. ?

They promptly ordered me a $400 giftcard because I didn't want any of their shitty monitors. ;)

Timeline ---

April 25, 2006 --- Freepay receives my approval form.

May 26, 2006 --- After sitting with my approval form for over a month, they approve me.

October 9th --- I receive a $400 giftcard after demanding it and threatening with legal action.

LOL THANX FREEPAY 6 MONTHS IS A VERY REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME THEY WERE TOTALLY RIGHT!!1! FORGET 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS LOL!![/sizee654b68fbf][/be654b68fbf]

But realistically, I'm just glad to finally have the reward. Freepay has given me a lot of stuff and I still have some respect for them.

It's been so long that my 17" CRT has made the metal supporters under my glass sink. lol

Time to get a light and sexy LCD. D

Overall, it was the worst Freepay experience I've ever had. Hopefully they are getting better with the new management and all. I still have a PS3 coming from them, but I'm not expecting them to get it to me any time soon after it comes out. Anyway, they seem to be trying harder now, so good luck to everyone who is still waiting.

$400??? Dang, that's more than any monitor they have is worth. I'm STV on a 19" Samsung, but wish I could get the $400 -- I'd buy another Dell 20" and have a much better monitor.

Oh, and congrats.

Should I order a Dell 20"? I was thinking of ordering something off of Newegg. I'm really not sure yet.

I'm a huge Dell fan. Samsung also makes a great 20" model too though -- if the GC can't be used at Dell or a Dell reseller (like Sams Club), then I'd use it to buy something like a Samsung 204B from BestBuy or another retailer.

If they'll let you use it at Newegg, even better, you'll save some money.

Well I bought my mum 4 $100 Target giftcards and she gave me $400. So I can pretty much get anything from anywhere.

I could check out Sam's Club if it's really worth doing. If not I'll probably just order something off of Newegg. I'm still debating with myself on using all of the $400 or getting a nice 19" LCD and keeping the rest of the money. I don't play games on this PC and I don't do much of anything graphic related so I think I might just get a nice 19" LCD of some sort and keep the rest of the money.

Does this look like a good deal to anyone?

http//www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824001087

I'm leaning towards this. It's cheap, 20", WSXGA+, $10 off, free shipping, and better than Freepay's Samsung.

So Freepay pretty much gave me a better monitor and $110. D

This seems like the best bargain I can find. What do you think dmorris? I'm not ordering anything until I get dmorris' seal of approval. lol

Personally, I wouldn't have that monitor. It's the widescreen version of the 204B. I'm not a fan of 20" widescreen's -- I have to have at least 1200 vertical resolution. That's why I consider a 20" 43 panel at 1600x1200 as my minimum for serious work and/or gaming.

Also, it's a 6-bit monitor. 8-bit is my minimum for real work, but for a casual rig or a secondary monitor would be okay.

If you don't mind the 1680x1050 resolution and 6-bit color depth, then it would be a fine monitor, I'm sure.

Hmmm... Okay. I'm thinking about just using the $400 to buy a whole new Dell PC with a 19" LCD included. I guess I'll see though.
