HP had an info session at my school (UT), and they had drawings for prizes at the end. I won the grand prize of a 20 gb ipod! 4th generation of ipods, but I'll take that anyday.
Anyone know if I can upgrade this at the apple store, and how much it would cost? I don't have a receipt or anything... but I do want to upgrade cause I heard students get a discount at upgrading too.

id give it a try
upgrade quick before apple upgrades to new ipods next tuesday.
you might be able to take in the one you just upgraded and upgrade that to the new ones for free.
I doubt you can take in a 4th gen and get a 6th gen ipod though

Try selling it, if it's brand new you'll still get a fairly decent amount.

ya sell it on ebay and then use that money to get a new ipod

So I tried to upgrade my 20 gb at the apple store.
Here is the storyline.
Me Hi, I was wondering if I could trade in my Brand New 20 gb ipod for any 5th generation ones.
Apple You can't even get those 20 gb ones NEW anymore (accusing me of lying)
Me O I won it as a prize from HP. Its one of those HP Apple Ipods.
Apple I see... Well we don't handle HP ipods, you would have to call HP to see if they upgrade. Or you could ebay it and come back here to buy what you want with the money you made.
DANG IT. so whats the difference between my Apple+HP ipod, compared to a regular apple ipod?
