I GOT IT TODAY!!!!! A SONY 42" PLASMA.. whoooo hooo.... lol, it arrived to my front door via some shipping company. It got here this morning at about 1030am. A guy named Ray delivered it and I told him how I got it and I thought he was going to have a heart attack on my front porch. He was like I get free samples of Cigarettes in the mail but I never get a freakin plasma TV. Here are some pictures. The guy in the picture is Ray the delivery guy.... He was the man of the year for me!!

I know this is a ghetto set up, i haven't gotten my wall mount yet and I haven't painted the wall because I'm putting the TV into the wall. THere weill be plenty of air circulation in the wall because it's a double wall. I was very very surprised by how amazing the picture is. I'm having to kick the 10-20 people outta the house at night cause all they wanna do it watch it.

Needless to say my girlfriend will be doing this so that we an get another one!!! lol... If you guys have any questions feel free to ask! I hope everyone will take the time to do this because this is the best site I've ever done!!

Hey guys,
I'm not sure if this should have been put in the brag forum but if the Mod wants it there then go ahead and move it. I have heard of some people doing this site but I've never heard of anyone actually getting something so that's why I posted this in here. I made a thread about this company awhile ago I just never had gotten anything yet. Below is the copy of the invoice from the company that's sending the TV. Since it's so big RewardsVenue hired a shipping company to ship it to the house. Apparently it's too big for UPS or Fedex. I called the shipping company and they said I should have it Thursday morning. I have nothing bad to say about this company. Within a few ours of a CS ticket I had an answer and over all I spent 200-250 on offers I did myself, it's not a referral site. It's not the best plasma but hell it's a 42" flatscreen not bad for a 2,000 dollar item. Any questions let me know.

Wow that one seems kind of amazing. You get to do all of the offers yourself. Which I find kind of odd. Do they take away the easy offers and add really hard ones as you get close to completing the site?

goofygarber

08-10-2005 09:41:16

Trainn sites offer the same thing, tux. You complete offers for points, and when you've got enough points, you can order.

Mapik

08-10-2005 10:16:32

hairy, I've got a few questions for you. Can you list the offers that you did, and what they cost you? Also, the other offers that were available (prices if you know them)? How long did it take you to complete it? How often do the offers change?

Interested, but I don't know if I want to wipe out $250.

hairyferry

08-10-2005 10:40:38

[quote529069174b="goofygarber"]Trainn sites offer the same thing, tux. You complete offers for points, and when you've got enough points, you can order.[/quote529069174b]

well if the prize is 2000 and you have to do 9 offers you're getting $222 for each offer which is not bad at all. I'm pretty sure the offers are the same but I did notice some new ones that did come in. There are also a few other prizes where you only have to do 4 or 6 offers The offers I did I listed below. Just sign up and see what the other offers are. It's not a referal site so don't worry about signing up under someone first.

Step 1

Star Club Rewards $1
(3/24/05)
Completed

Click Here to get more credits for your gift!

Step 2

Amazing Radar Jammer- $150 with 90 day 100% return policy if you didn't like it
(4/1/05)
Completed

AOL® 9.0 Optimized plus MusicNet - free trial
(3/30/05)
Completed

Click Here to get more credits for your gift!

Step 3

Tax Liens Direct $100 with a 100% money back if you don't like it
(8/31/05)
Completed

South Beach Diet Online- $65 with the ability to get $45 back if you don't like the service, they keep $20 for processing
(8/22/05)
Completed

Real Estate Fortunes $100- 100% money back if you dont like it
(8/13/05)
Completed

Jevene -free trial I think it was 5.95 shipping
(8/13/05)
Completed

Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Card -spend $50 bucks on card
(6/30/05)
Completed

Citi® Diamond Preferred® Rewards Card
(6/24/05)
Awaiting Approval

Columbia House DVD - 5 free dvd's then you have to by 6 within a year so the DVD's are like 23 each so it's about $150
(4/2/05)
Completed

FreeServers $40 for a year, or if you decided you don't want it they charge a $ 20 processing fee
(3/31/05)
Completed

So I spent around $250 when all the money was returned for some of the offers. That also includes the 50 bucks on the card which was groceries at the store.

Not bad, although I'd be nice if could do some referals instead. Post some pics when it comes )

hairyferry

o yeah I definatley will, this is prolly the best gift/prize I've gotten yet.

hairyferry

08-10-2005 11:06:26

When I did the offers I'd do them a couple at a time until I completed em. It usually took about a week to credit.

Peinecone

08-10-2005 12:04:44

I am working on this now. I have 3 out of nine offers completed. Tier 1 and 2 are pretty easy, but the tier3 offers will cost some coin. So far, i have tier 1 and 2 done and i spent $40 on some steaks and burgers.

hairyferry

08-10-2005 12:22:24

it's worth it though.. o yeah when you're done with all 9 offers you actually can pick one item from like 30 things. laptops, gas for a year, TV's, vacation to Hawaii, vaction to disney, there's a bunch of crap.

Peinecone

08-10-2005 12:25:18

ya, i don't think i will get the TV. I will ge getting a HDTV LCD from evenmore4free, so i will pick something that will resell well probably. Do they offer paypal, or checks?

where you say that you did CC offers, are there any other offers you can do instead of CC ones, or is that a given when it coems to sites like this?

There are other offers. I won't be doing a CC offer on this.

Mapik

08-10-2005 12:56:20

Why won't you be doing CC offers? Something bad about them or what? Doesn't seem like a bad idea if you don't mind having another CC, and all you have to do it make a purchase, so make it on something used get anyways (groceries, clothes, etc).

Mapik

08-10-2005 13:09:49

Also, is there any reason why it took you so long to complete?

[quote64c8261020="Mapik"]Also, is there any reason why it took you so long to complete?[/quote64c8261020]

Yah, there are alot of other offers than CC offers. One down side about CC offers is if you apply and don't get accepted it still goes on your credit record and if you do too many applications it looks bad.

I was in the process of purchasing a house so that kinda came before finishing this thats why it took so long.

tsanghan

08-10-2005 19:28:45

justinag06

08-10-2005 21:44:39

A couple of questions seeing your timeline is kinda long...

1. Are the dates given when you choose to complete them or when they were credited?
2. What was crediting like on this site, slow, fast. Can I just do all my offers tomorrow morning and wait the time for them to credit?

3. How long was approval process, and how much longer till you were told the item is being shipped?

congrats thats one hell of a freebie, even if its a 250 dollar one

Mapik

08-10-2005 22:35:52

justin, you can signup on the site and see all of the offers. Also, when you click on the offers, it says how long it takes to process for credit. Somewhere it also says how long the approval process takes.

You can also see all of the offers, which is nice. So you can plan it all out. This offer cost this much, and so on. Might as well sign up, it's free to sign up and not like you're wasting it b/c can't sign up under someone.

tsanghan

08-10-2005 22:52:56

hmmm this seems soo good to do i can like do one of those trainn site and use the 250 for a big investment

Mapik

08-10-2005 23:27:19

I think it would be cool to start a group to do it. So everyone plans out all the 'good' offers to do (the ones that cost less), and then someone gathers a list of them and figures out all the best ones to do. Then every 2-3 days, you email everyone in it and say, do this offer. Then if you have to cancel that offer 21 days later, 21 days later the person running it emails everyone to say cancel this offer today. # is xxxxxxx, website is xxxxx, and so on.
One person could organize it for a little money, few bucks from each or something. If anyone is interested in this weird/odd idea, PM me saying "RW idea" as subject...I might take this offer up. Otherwise if someone else wants to run it, I'd give a list of everyone wanting to do it so they could run it.
It would just make it soo much eaiser on the people trying to complete it if someone could just email you saying when to do an offer and when to cancel and so on and on. For a few bucks, might be worth it. I know I would. Best part would be knowing what each offer costs at the end, and when to cancel.

justinag06

08-10-2005 23:41:13

Yeah I just wanted to hear what he thought of the sites crediting and approval process.

They always say it takes so long, but you never know

thanks for the tip

are you pursuing the site?

hairyferry

08-10-2005 23:45:33

Crediting on the site takes about a week per offer. Between the time I finished all the offers and I was approved was about 2 weeks. It says 4-6 weeks but that wasn't even close to what it was. I would do an offer and it would credit about a week later. Like I said before it took so long for me to do it because I was buying a house and had bought a puppy so worrying about the freebie site wasn't right on top of the list. Also, like I said before their CS was amazing. Responses the same day with great help.

Mapik

09-10-2005 00:03:24

[quote1308668d94="justinag06"]are you pursuing the site?[/quote1308668d94]

Signed up, probably once I get all the info on all the offers (prices before and after cancel - meaning getting a price on the cost then, figuring out the best 8 offers, lvl A is cheap so that doesn't matter, and all that stuff)...then I will pursue it a lot more than now. Now I'm just 'looking' you could say.

If people want to do my idea listed, then I would, it'd be less work then. Or more, but get a little extra $$ as well...so we'll see.

I might be interested in trying this now too, a little prelimiary research sounds good. I might as well signup and apply for the credit cards, im sure those are the ones that take the longest.

hairyferry

09-10-2005 07:42:07

o yeah another reason it took awhile for me to go through the process is when I was buying my house my loan guy said I couldn't apply for any loans, buy a car, apply for a credit card, or do anything drastic with my money because it could screw up the house loan. Just another reason why.

you're prolly right when you say the CC takes the longest time to get credit but it really isn't that much longer.

No go there yourself and check it out. Credit Card offers are the big ticket offers, and are easier than paying a lot for hosting or something else. There are no referrals or anything, so no reason not to sign up and check out what offers are availible

I did www.everyfreegift.com which is a YFDirect hosted site. RewardsVenue is metareward. My gift on EFG is "sony plasma tv" - no specs or other info. I'm a little worried about that but I figure if it's a sony plasma tv it can't be all bad. I only had to do 6 offers (1 tier 1, 2 ties 2, 3 tier 3) and they're all "processing" right now which means 6-8 weeks for approval (eg. for them to get paid). then i'll have to print out certificates and mail them in, then a few weeks later i get to order. i've done something similar to this - www.freegiftworld.com - and it works. it's just really freaking slow.

Are you gonna get the TV FON?

hairyferry

13-10-2005 22:30:14

Sooo I hung it from a wall today, and TRIED hooking it up.... There are soooo many freakin ins and outs, there are like 2 or 3 s video, fiber optic, composite, DVI, that other High Def connection, there are 2 seperate sound jacks. There are ins and outs on all 4 sides of the TV. I sat there for an hour trying to figure out how to get it to work and I couldn't even get a picture. I'm gonna have to work on it more in the morning.

Peinecone

13-10-2005 22:37:13

Peinecone

hairyferry

13-10-2005 22:57:54

I work in the law enforcement field, a lot of time spent writing out reports.

Yeah I have 2- 3" bolts in studs, it'll be ok. The TV really isn't that heavy surprisingly enough. I could carry it around myself if I needed to.

Only this dumb about everyfreegift is that they say you have to be 18, I am 18, and yet they don't put the year 1987. I can't forge it cause they'll probably figure it out from the CC offer and I don't want any problems with an expensive offer. I sent them a support question, but they didnt respond probably since I'm not a member yet, cause I can't sign up.

Mapik

14-10-2005 00:47:47

Admin, everyfreegift.com seems unreal. I just clicked on the TV and it says 6 offers (1- lvl1, 2-lvl2, 3-lvl3)....well I can do that w/o doing a CC offer, or one that would probably pay them a lot of money. (trimlife, the lowes one, simply you, advantage language, etc)
So is this legit? Who's completed it, pics, proof, etc? Seems like they'd get only $600 max off me, and I'd get a $1000+ TV out of them. Explanation.....please.

I wish I could get accecpted for a dangded credit card tho...when I got my cell phoen the guy said I had the highest Credit Record of any 18 year old he's ever seen, yet i got declined for my credit card...

hairyferry

07-11-2005 23:31:06

Yeah you get your money back. One of them you get your info through online, and the other one you get it via UPS. It was funny cause I got credit before I actually got the UPS package and I didn't even accept the package because I wasn't home when they tried to deliever it so UPS sent it back and I got my refund. If you do accept it and you cancel you have to send it back

The same way all off the free sites make money... they lose money when they have to send out a product, but make a killing off of people who see their friends get a "free" ipod, and sign up and complete an offer, finding out it isn't actually "free"...

They lose money when tehy ship it out but i'm sure when I get my flat screen, several of my friends will try, and many of them will give up...

That is not 100% right. I just went through the gift redemption process this past weekend and there is no option for Cash or a check. According to Scam.com if you order the Winn Dixie gas card for $2000 you get a check instead of a gift card, the risk with this is that they could start sending gas cards at any time. There is an option for a $2000 Visa Reward Card (which is what I selected). It is the closest thing to cash in my opinion. Did anyone else request the Visa Reward Card?

igneous

12-12-2005 08:35:26

IIRC you can cash out the visa at atms too, there is just a very small service charge I think.

I was actually going to ask if that is possible. Can you get a cash advance off one of these Visa Gift cards? I figure if I were to walk up to an ATM and try to take out $2000, I would not get it, but I might be able to take it out in incriments from different ATM's. Does anyone know about this/

2) I JUST THOUGHT I WOULD BRING UP SOME OLD BRAG POST TO SHOW THE STABILITY OF FREEIPODGUIDE.COM TO THE NEWBIES AND HOW LONG ITS BEEN AROUND!

2) I JUST THOUGHT I WOULD BRING UP SOME OLD BRAG POST TO SHOW THE STABILITY OF FREEIPODGUIDE.COM TO THE NEWBIES AND HOW LONG ITS BEEN AROUND!

i think each one of them needs to add the picture of the girl in the bikini doing the cartwheel with the 'look at me, i like attention' to their sig.
