Oh awesome! Is that 10, too? You know what, I didn't think getting 10 referrals were all that bad. All were online friends and a couple of offline friends. One got over charged, but she got her money back. So it wasn't too bad. The waiting for them to get credited part is what gets to me. lol

It's not too bad. They dont send me the form to claim the laptop until next year end of January. And I don't mind paying, so I don't care. On top of that, I only go to school. Parents pay for what I need so it shouldn't be too bad.

And I'm not a big taxes person, so I'm not sure how this will go about my taxes. I'll just have to ask my lawyer when the time comes. It can't be too bad.

i think the affect on your taxes will be that the value of the laptop is treated as part of your incame. depending on how much you make its most likely not gonna make a significant difference on your taxes

You're right. I don't understand what the big deal is about the form. It's not like the IRS is asking people to pay THEM the money the laptop is worth. Free is free, but let's not stretch it too far and not expect to fork anything back.

Is this specifically for the laptop or are they doing that for all of the PCs? Sorry to ask so many questions in your thread, this is just the first I've heard of it..

I think they only recently implemented this strict policy. I guess people were cracking down now.

This is only for the laptop or any gift valued at $600 or more.

Cyberpowers don't crack $600, they've maxed out at around $500 or so, sometimes less.

Any updates, Veek? I'm trying to get an idea of how long it will take to get mylaptop if these last 2 people EVER TURN GREEN. I hate how a chunk of people that did the same offer will green at the same time, except for the LAST ones that you really need. they take forever if you're trying to finish in a hurry. My campus is HUGE and I hate not having a computer w/me.

I bought a wireless adapter and it doesn't bother me one bit. It works awesome. The shipping was REALLY fast too. If you order the Gateway, let me know so I can tell you how to track it's process before Freepay even puts the shipping info and marks it as "Shipped."

The reason I haven't posted that I received the computer is because I accidently left my camera at my friends house and can't take pictures at this moment. I will soon, though.

The timeline was really short. I submitted for approval in the morning one day, and it was approved by the next morning. That same morning Jake helped me get the W-9 form to the right people to get the system processing. Another employee contacted me via E-mail letting me know of the W-9 form as well. Once they received it, I got an E-mail from the employee telling me that they were going to switch laptops to the Gateway and wanted to know if I accepted. I said yes, and she placed the order the next day. I was able to log into Gateway and click "Order Status" to check the order. They scheduled it to be delivered on Sept. 14, but in reality, it arrived Sept. 12th in the morning. Really fasstt!

Great laptop too. Very thin and portable. Works great for simple tasks, internet surfing, etc. I love it.

soooo jealous. I want mine, but these credits refuse to come. I thought realarcade was only supposed to take 1-2 days? Also, when I did blockbsuter back in feb credits came in 1-2 days as well. I'm getting so anxious, esp. since a lot of my friends have been cancelling eFax b/c it charged them 25.90 =/
