k i'd seriously like to ask these people what they do to make money ... i played last night and followed the card by the letter (in fun mode, so i didn't lose any money), and my balance was just steadily going down

ANY tips would be great, i'm going to keep playing in fun mode 'til i get good, then try and earn some money

Yes, you can. The down side is that you have to put up your own money at the start, and you're not guaranteed to win anything.

What's included in your $2.9k, tony? Just casino deals? Or other stuff (free sites, poker)?

If you're like me, poker and sometimes casinos are my main online money maker and this free stuff is just a li'l extra fun on the side.

tonydanza92

21-08-2005 14:58:43

$2.9k is from a casino site mostly

$300 is from poker

How do you make money off poker bonuses? Are they more profitable than regular casino bonuses cleared through blackjack? I've been doing that for a while but I'm running out of casinos to do, so I'm considering moving on to poker.

tonydanza92

21-08-2005 22:26:02

just do good at poker

some poker sites offer 100% bonuses but you have to be good at poker or lucky to reach the requirements. Most sites offer around 25%

or I could just pay you to deposit at pac poker under my tell a friend D

[quote6deb9fa1ad="idrinklisterine"]How do you make money off poker bonuses? Are they more profitable than regular casino bonuses cleared through blackjack?[/quote6deb9fa1ad]

You have to play poker well. The best poker bonuses usually clear at a rate roughly equal to your share of rake. So, if you're not a break-even player or better you will still lose money. There are some exceptions, including if you can stack up an affiliate bonus (through a free stuff site or elsewhere), but if you lose money rapidly at the tables it won't be very profitable anyway.

It can take time to learn the game and be frustrating... I had been playing casually for 2 years, and was break-even; only recently did I get serious about my game and start making real money at it. I've made $2.7k at poker in the last few months + $1k from casino bonuses. This free stuff is just for fun.

Heh....I was playing blackjack at the Vegas Red casino and was at $258.50 after wagering $1715 (needed to wager $1850). So I went ahead and wagered $25, lost...wagered $25 again, lost...wagered $100 liBLACKJACKli ----> AND THEY HIT BLACKJACK TOO (I probably hit 25 blackjacks the whole time I was playing...they hit at the same time I think 15 times)!!!! Then, wagered $100 again, lost...wagered $100 again, lost....then with my remaining $8.50 wagered $5 and lost, then every time I wagered $1 I won. Thats some terrible luck....

So yea....lost $100, but as long as I green from it it'll end up a red $50 in the books. Not a huge deal, but pisses me off that everyone else wins so much ( I might as well play poker atleast thats fun...following the system is just painstaking.

Yeah, that's why I say the casinos are rigged. They rig them intelligently though. They let you win several times in a row for a while, so you get the feeling for winning money. Then when you bid big multiples times in a row they know your hooked. I los 14 hands in a row between losing everything from casino-on-net and then losing all on Del Rio.

Don't even get me started on that Bingo.com site. I started it for another dude's site and you have to deposit $10. I played 10, $1 hands of blackjack. I lost them all.

I'll agree. They gotta be rigged. On casino on net I was winning pretty good then I bet some $25 a hand and kept losing so I thought that I better be ta $100 hand to make up for it and everytime I bet big the dealer got BlackJack....it's bullshit

bballp6699

22-08-2005 09:45:43

When I lost all my money it was similar to FON's experiance. I'd get blackjack, but they got blackjack the same turn. When I lost those 14 hands in a row I think I started with 14, 15, or 16 on 12 of the 14 hands.

tonydanza92

22-08-2005 10:20:12

they aren't rigged

these sites are some of the most monitored and regulated sites out there period

son of shoe is up around $1400, you guys are down $50-$100 each, it's just opposite ends of the "Luck Spectrum"

I say don't follow the charts exactly. Statistically if you follow the charts you will win 49% of the time and dealer wins around 51%, with some ties in there. At least if you take risks sometimes if you have good luck you will win more, and bad luck you will lose more. Trust your gut, stay on 16 if you feel like it.

I have no current interest in referring people to casinos, neither do I have any reason to support tonydanza's activities, but I'm gonna have to back tonydanza up on this one. The legitimate sites are all thoroughly checked and regulated; they do not want to kill the cash cow by losing legitimacy.

There are shady casinos out there, but if you stick to established places that have survived on their reputation you'll get a fair game. This is no guarantee of winning every time, though... it [i131e892080]is[/i131e892080] gambling we're talking about here. Even if you statistically have an advantage you can (and sometimes will) still lose.

BTW I've played blackjack sessions that have made me scream at the craziness in the cards (double down for 20 and have the dealer pull 6 card 21s, dealt 20 stiffs in a row, etc.) but it just happens. It sucks, but it happens.

PS, I'm now up a grand total of $1400 just playing black jack, and still going.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, you dont ever really remember the hands that you win on, just the big ones that you lose on. I will admit, I have been screwed by the dealer, but I too have screwed the dealer pretty bad, haha.

As long as you pay attention to how the different patterns are going of when the dealer wins and when you win, it really seems to stay the same.

I have only played at 2 casino sites so far (Casino On Net and Golden Palace Casino) By far the best so far is Casino On Net. You wouldn't believe some of the hands that the dealer gets at Golden Palace. However, I have won about $900 there in less then 2 1/2 hours.

Not saying im an expert, but I think I do have some good advice/strategies
However, I could still lost it all in about 20 minutes just like everyone else, but as long as I am careful, I still think I can withdraw about $100 every 10 minutes 8)

I just read this and realized it seemed like I don't like what tonydanza is does with his referral deals. This is not what I meant. I just meant that I didn't say what I said because I am trying to get people to do his offer or have a conflict of interest or something... just trying to give unbiased advice from my experience.
