i got a palm from my parents 3 or 4 years ago for chirstmas. Most worthless thing i have ever got. My friend used to draw a penis on it and at red lights hold it up to peoples car windows. But free shit is free shit and im sure those things have improved since i got mine.

Haha, probably not.

The only improvment would be the color screen, MP3 player and the camera. It comes with (after mail-in rebate thingie) 512MB card that you can store pictures, mp3s etc in to listen to music and look at pics. So, can be thought of as a flash based photoipod with a huge screen.

I mostly need it for the calendar and to edit a few spreadsheets. I'm desperately trying to stay organized and this should help a lot. I also put in a dictionary and I think once I have any card I'll put in more databases.

Stupid palm won't put WLAN on their low end PDA but only bluetooth. Even the DS has WLAN on it! The campus has WLAN enabled at a lot of zones and it would have been sweet if I could check my e-mail wirelessly too. Hopefully I can get the PSP to do that.

The WLAN, the VGA size screen, replaceable battery would be nice. But, the Dell Axim was 10 refs while this was just 5 refs. Plus, this came with a free 512MB card. And, I need it mostly just for calendar.

I had one of the first Axim's, lots of features but the thing was a brick. I have a treo 600 now and love the palm os.

Yeah, the palm is nothing like even the ipod, the porcelain brick. It's really lightweight.
