pics are great, video is very great, alot better then i expected, it can hold alot of video with a big memory card, but the big question is how is battery life.

lol, i've found all recent sony cameras a gimmick, compare the useful specs and they dont differ at all.
Dsc-P100
Dsc-M1
Dsc-W1
Dsc-T1
Prices range from 250-500
but they are all 5.1MP, and 3x optical zoom, dam sony is good

Yeah its mpeg4 format, and the video quality is extremely good for not being a full on camcorder.
In the instructions, it says the camera can film 22 minutes on a 512mb card. Im wondering if that is restricted to keep room for some pictures...?
The thing that sucks, is that in high quality (fine) mode, the 32mb card that came with it can only hold 12 pictures! hahah how lame is that?!
a 512mb can hold 188 high quality pics which is much better, but theyre still a little pricey. Almost got one on ebay last night for 50 bucks but it went up right before it ended. '
Anyone know where i can get a cheap 512mb card?
Everywhere ive checked ive only found em for 60 at the lowest

Yuck, does it give you a time for the regular quality? I am planning on getting a 1gb stick for this but that is still only 44 minutes.

I just got the 512mb card from amazon for my camera. Now i need to get a card for my psp. I dont need a huge card for my psp though cause i dont plan on putting movies on it. too much time and work. Id rather buy the movies off of ebay or used at blockbuster or something

actualy at the nominal video quality level, a 512mb chip says it holds 4 hours and 22 minutes.
