Octobers Promotion #3 Post here to win $75
Ok I couldn't think of anything else to give away money so just going to let the forum members post here for a chance to win money. This is for all FreeiPodGuide members even if they have never joined a Dollar Deal Network site.
I will be awarding $75 PayPal to the person who makes the 10th to last post in this thread from now until October 31th, 2007 at 1159 PM Central Time. I'll also be rewarding the 25th to last post with $25 PayPal. I will announce the winners on November 1st and send money right after.
1. You can not double post! You can and have to post multiple times ( at least 10 posts) but no posts right after another. So let someone else a second to post first.
2. You MUST follow all rules of the FreeiPodGuide board! You break the rules and you won't win!
3. To win, you must have at least 10 posts by the end of the promotion!
4. No flaming anyone or any sites in this thread.
So no matter what you like or dislike post it here and get a chance to win $75 or $25!

I am going to be doing a raffle again soon lihintlijingle bellslihintli where it will be totally free to enter.
it will be based on some of my original raffles. I will send out 50-100 $2.00 bills and about 10 of those will be specially marked. Now the specially marked ones will be winning $2.00 bills. The rest are just free $2 as a thank you from 2DollarDeal.
Now I am trying to think of some good related prizes to give out so need help.
I plan on giving away around $1000-$1200 for this promotion so need a good list of things to giveaway.
I don't want to do paypal as it is boring so need something cool. I was thinking a laptop but it might eat too much of the prize money.
So suggestions???? Now remember the more prizes I can giveaway the more happy customers I will have ) So dont suggest giving one user $1200, lol.

MCRs have always been 30-45 days, though most usually come in earlier. I don't mind the question as it is a concern of his and rightfully so. I am on top of all your referrals credits with my publishers. You can continue to send in support tickets to remnd me though )

Happy Birthday RAV!! And thanks rico!!! I think we'll have a blast. The only part that we won't like is that I can't go on any of the "fast" rides. I had back surgery in Jan '06 that failed so those crazy rides are out for me cry But I still think we'll have a lot of fun because Disney is so family oriented that there will be plenty for the two of us to do!!! I've been twice in my life, once in 4th grade and once my senior year of college. My fiance has never been so we're both very excited to go!!! Just need to win a few of these contests so I can pay for it!!!

ricopet....try Prilosec OTC..it's great...I used to have to really watch what I ate cause allot of stuff gave me heartburn, but now I take a Prilosec OTC about every 4 or 5 days and I can eat anything I want. I love it!

Thanks. I'm trying to stay away from over the counter meds. Now I take digestive enzymes and apple cider vinegar. Works wonders. Apple cider vinegar works for just about anything. As a matter of fact, it's going to help me win this contest. wink wink wink

There aren't any cons..........everything about this network is awesome!! Especially the insanely cool Promo's that she comes up with!! OH, ok, one con, the number of offers available......but that's about it!! By the way, we used to live in Rochester, NY - until we smartened up and went on a permanent honeymoon in FL 8) The best part of living here is that we can just take off to Orlando or Daytona Beach or Tampa or wherever for the weekend any time we want ) So for your Honeymoon, I would recommend that you "accidentally" buy one-way tickets and, oops, you don't realize it until after you get to Orlando ;)

I actually LOVE living in NY. I hate the summer heat and humidity here, so I'm sure down there it's 100 times worse. I love our change of seasons and even love the snow....so I think we'll stay right here in NY = ). Besides, my brother lives in VA and I'm an hour and a half away from my mom, so I have to stay this close so she gets to see some of her grandkids grow up!!

Hi guys.............I have always lived in Ohio. I love the change of seasons too, but have always wondered what it would be like to live in a warm climate. year round. I love the snow, as long as it only snows on Christmas and only on the roof, trees and grass..not the roads or my 200 foot long driveway. I love Spring the most because it is like a new beginning, and I guess it is. I love the colors of autumn, but since I know that winter is right behind it, it makes it bitter sweet.

I used to live in Ohio, too - Cleveland area. Also lived in Wisconsin, Massachusetts and Alaska. I'll never leave Florida.
I used to hate the heat when I lived up north, but here it doesn't bother me. I think it's because the year-round temperature range is a lot smaller here - between 40ish and 100ish is only 60 degrees - but in the north the temp range is a lot more - between -10ish and 90ish is 100 degrees. I think it's harder on the body to have such an extreme temp cycle.
I'm still looking for opinions on this network...

Yes, some of the bugs are pretty big, but they're harmless and don't bother coming in the house usually. We actually live in the woods out in a rural area, so there are plenty of bugs and snakes and alligators. In the 2 and a half years I've lived here, I've never seen an alligator in the wild - although we live about 400 meters from a lake where they live - I've only seen I think 3 snakes - 2 black racers and 1 rat snake. Bugs we have a lot of, but since we have a yard full of ducks and chickens, we don't see too many bugs, either. I could live without the mosquitos and lovebugs, though.

these sites are great for all the reasons that csullivan said. I really think the only draw back is the amount of offers. They are very slim, so if you\ve done a bunch of offers, it's hard to green on the site. I think the 2dollar sites was the first ones I did when I started. It paid out quickly and the customer service was awesome.

Do you payout out custom orders for one ref at a time? How long is the turnaround time for approval and payout? Do you offer partial-credit payouts? Have your sites been done by a majority of traders, making it difficult to get refs, or is it still a viable option for trading?
By the way, are we all competing with the users on FLR? Are you counting the posts from both forums on the same list? Or are you running separate promos for each forum?

SOOOO I'm going away for the weekend to see my brother off to Iraq for the second time around. GRRRR....I hate when my brother goes to Iraq. He's a Captain in the USMC and actually volunteered for this deployment. Since he got back from his first deployment, he has been down in DC doing the ceremonies and funerals and marching in parades. We know he didn't join the Marine Corps to march in parades, so when this opportunity came up, he jumped right in!! So he'll be gone until at least June and hopefully won't get extended too much so he's home for my wedding next October. Anyways, I may not be on much to post this weekend, but will certainly try = )

I love raising my kids and baseball. I love baseball so much that I will sit in front of the computer and stare at the screen that tells you who's batting and all the stats and wait for it to refresh to see if it was another ball, strike or if they got a hit. Obviously I don't have cable and probably won't for a while. My husband tells me I would sit in front of the tv all day watching HGTV and sports. I can't argue with him. I guess he would want pants washed for work or some silly reason like that.

I can't get into sports. i have tried, just can't do it. My hubby like to watch football, but he's not a fanatic. He watches quietly, but, once in a while I might hear."Well, that was stupid"or, "what did you do that for?"...but not really loud like some guys do.

Are you dressing up while you bartend or is it separate? If it's separate, be a midget. Put on jeans and button them around your knees. Put on a shirt and button the top button around your hips. Fill arms with newspaper and pin on gloves. Get a white sheet and fix it around the top of your body and tuck it into the shirt. figure out where the eyes, nose and mouth should be. Fill them in. Position your hands to make the head look somewhat oval. Color in some hair and put a couple holes where the hair is so you can see. Wear a straw hat. It looks great and people don't know who you are. After a while you can take it all off and enjoy the rest of the night in your normal clothes..

That sounds like a statement from someone who has become an mma fan as a result of the Ultimate Fighter series. Facts are Tito is one of the most recognozable faces in the mma world. That is why he is valuable to the UFC. PPV buys are the highest when he is on the card, especially when he is on the card with a Liddell or Couture. People love to hate Ortiz. I have been a MMA fan before the series and not really a fan of it. Just because I am a girl doesn't mean I don't know good fighters.
You said it yourself Tito is a DRAW and nothing more. People want to see him because they hope he will go back to the OLD Tito.
Regardless of his drawing power he always losses the big fights now.

UFC won't sign Kimbo. Kimbo is in EliteXC with Robbie Lawler. UFC is going downhill, Dana White is an arrogant asshole and his mouth is ruining his business.
Look for M-1 to scoop up all the free agents and become the biggest corporation in MMA. UFC is only known right now because they are on Spike, nothing more than that. They have no talent in most of their divisions. And in 2 of their divisions no one even owns the belt with Sean Sherk being on Roids and Couture going to M-1 to get his ass handed to him by Fedor.
I think the UFC is going to sign Lawler back to fight Silva... I mean really who else is there to fight him. Even Tanner should get a shot if he can prove that he can stay off the booze. I hope he can. I miss Tanner.

Yeah -- its just now hitting "mainstream" America, which is the only thing UFC has done. But MMA is pretty big because who doesn't like to see men beating the piss out of eachother.
Twon, No one can touch Silva. He is the king of a mountain of nobodies. His skill, style, and physical built are too much for anyone in that division.
Mikhail, Kimbo is fighting Jeff Monsoon. Should be a funny ass fight.
I agree that Silva is the top of the chain in the UFC middleweight division. I think Tanner has a real shot against him. In the past, Silva has shown his suseptablility to GnP and ground fighting. Lutter was doing really well against him until he gassed and got caought in a triangle.
The flying heel hook that Ryo Chonen got on him at Pride Shockwave 2004 (I think) was f'n amazing.
Lwaler would be a great fight because they would just sit there and bang it out. I know Silva has an amazing chin and Lawlers may be a little suspect, but Lawler hits really, really hard.

Mixed Martial Arts. Basically 2 guys fightings. The fights are sanctioned now by the Boxing/Fighting commission, and there are rules to the fighting. There is no groin punches, eye gouges, or head butts.You can't hit the throat, strike the back of the head, try and break fingers/toes, spitting, or clawing someone. And depending on what league you fight for, there is no soccer kicks or kicking a downed opponent.
You win by a knock out, submission, referee or doctor stoppage or decision. A knockout is when you are knocked out cold, the referee will pull the other fighter off of you, and let the doctors come check and make sure you are OK. This is safer than boxing because in boxing you may get knocked out 2 or 3 times in a fight but if you can stand before 10 you can fight, which is why boxers sometimes die. Submission is when you are choked out or a leg or arm is in a position it is not supposed to go, you lose by "tapping out" letting the referee know that you are giving up basically. Some fighters say that tapping out while being choked isn't manly and you should just go to sleep and then let the ref stop it. Stoppage is called when a fighter either has blood in his eyes, or has a wound that could be serious. Just last PPV a fight was called because they guy got cut so deep his skull was showing.
You have weight classes you fight in, depending on how much you weigh and what organization depends on where you would fight. Back in the old days there was no weight classes, so people 300 pounds could fight people who were 160 pounds.
It is mostly a man's sport but there is women who train MMA (I think Twon's wife/girlfriend does) and mine watches it with me and gets into it more than I do.
Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a combat sport in which a wide variety of fighting techniques are used, including striking and grappling.
mixed martial artists train in a variety of styles that have been proven effective in the ring, so that they can be effective in all the phases of combat. Although fighters will try to play to their particular specialties, they will inevitably encounter all kinds of situations; a stand-up fighting specialist will probably get taken down at some point and a submission artist might need to fight standing-up for a while before he can execute a takedown. A mixed martial artist might train in a particular style to enhance his or her skills in the phase of combat that that style targets. Typical styles, known for their effectiveness, that have been trained prior to the mixed martial arts career, and that are trained individually to enhance a particular phase of combat, are
Stand-up Boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, and/or forms of full contact karate are trained to improve footwork, elbowing, kicking, kneeing and punching.
Clinch Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, Sambo, and Judo are trained to improve clinching, takedowns and throws, while Muay Thai is trained to improve the striking aspect of the clinch.
Ground Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, shoot wrestling, catch wrestling, Judo, and Sambo are trained to improve submission holds, and defense against them. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, pankration, and styles of amateur wrestling are trained to improve positioning and maintain ground control.
Many styles have to be adapted slightly for use in the sport. For example, several boxing stances are ineffective because they leave fighters vulnerable to leg kicks or takedowns. Similarly, Judo techniques have to be adapted to an opponent not wearing a judogi. Usually, modern fighters do not train in any particular style, but either train in multiple styles with multiple coaches, or train in teams with other athletes focusing specifically on competition. Energy system training, speed drills, strength training and flexibility are also important aspects of an MMA fighter's training. Mixed martial arts competition is very demanding physically, and the athletes need to be in top condition to be successful.
While mixed martial arts was initially practiced almost exclusively by competitive fighters, this is no longer the case. As the sport has become more mainstream and more widely taught, it has become accessible to wider range of practitioners of all ages. Yes, Spike TV has it on. Wednesday is the reality show for UFC which is fighters who want to be in the UFC - they have a tournament of sorts and the winner gets a contract and they are coached by 2 UFC fighters.
Friday night on Spike they have UFC Fight Night which is usually an old PPV or a bunch of fights sloshed together. And I THINK every weekday they have UFC Unleashed which is 4 or 5 fights from random PPVs.
so last night I rolled for an hour before and hour and a half of Muay Thai training. I am really worn today. I am so glad this is my last week of really hard training before my fight...

I like Tanner I think he has always shown huge heart even in his losses, same with Forrest my favorite fighter.
Pay Scale! The UFC will always be a joke as long as the fighters are under contract with the UFC. That is why the guys with huge contracts keep fighting no matter how many losses they get. If Tito wasnt under contract he wouldnt have kept getting title shots in ANY OTHER fighting sport. Soon hopefully MMA will get agents and promoters (no Don). This way if the UFC wants a fight then everyone gets paid.

I've used iMovie before on the G5s at school and I'm a fan of it.
It's fairly easy to use too.
However I have heard of a couple other good movie editing programs, unfortunately I forgot their names.
I've also used Windows Movie Maker before too, I think that comes standard with all computers, so if it's an easy job you might want to look into that.

He came home in one piece the first time, so all I can do is pray the same is going to happen this time = ). Thanks guys!!! It's a lot harder than people realize when you have someone so close to you over there in harms way 24/7....and being a Marine on a special ops mission is just that much harder to deal with because he is right there in the gun fight...it's hard!!
