First of all, what browser are you using? Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc.

IE 7

I rarely use IE, but if I had to guess I would think you have system files set to not be visible and Vista considers cookies to be system files. I always disable UAC immediately and turn on file visibility of all files, so I haven't seen that issue.

That or you're looking in the wrong place. Vista+IE7 defaults to storing cookies in "C\Users\(your name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files."

I work for Microsoft for their Dynamics Acounting Software. First thing I ever suggest with any user on Vista is disabling the UAC... It's HORRIBLE!

Ill give it a shot, and if all else fails, Ill give Firefox a try.

Thanks a BUNCH!

You're right, Vista doesn't blow. I love it (well, as much as one can love Windows). It's no Linux, but I'd rather have it than XP. In fact of the 4 PC's at home running Windows, only one still runs XP and that's the wife's seldom used PC -- I've been too busy/lazy to upgrade it.

I thought the Mojave Experiment was awesome, and goes to prove what I've been arguing for the last 18 months. Look at all those Mojave users bashing Vista without even knowing what it was -- it was hilarious!

Vista did suck when it came out, but has long been "fixed" as far as I'm concerned. The problem is the misinformation and drama continuously spread by the media and those with longstanding grudges who haven't bothered to either try it again or learn how to tune it. It does require a bit of tweaking to get optimum benefit, disabling UAC being one of the biggest tweaks IMO.

That is very understandable. XP wasn't even as good as it was until SP 2 for it. They are just on SP 1 for Vista. Either people will have to learn to addapt, or stay on XP for another year till Windows 7 is released.

I for one just duel boot. That way I get the best of both worlds.
