ipod in data mode

when your ipod is in data mode, do you just transfer files to it through windows explorer?

Yup.

Yes, it works the same as any other external USB harddrive.

Just don't mess with the filesystem used by the iPod OS. Keep things inside the Data folder and you'll be fine.

I just drag stuff onto the ipod icon. It's a very handy portable storage device.
