Blackberry service without contract

Hi-

I am looking to get a blackberry, but I only need it for a few months. I am willing to pay full price for phone, and monthly fees, but there still seems to be no way to even get service without a contract.

NO- wifi is not an option for getting my emails
YES- I need push email tech, preferably blackberry.

Has anyone gone about doing this, or has any ideas of how I can do this?

The easiest solution would be to purchase a BB from Ebay and get your service transferred to that handset upon arrival...no? Then when you're done with it, have them (the provider) do a IMEI/ESN swap back to your old/existing handset.
