I don't know much about cameras, but I just need a $100 digital camera that can take decent pictures of social gatherings, family pictures, etc.. I narrowed down a list to only $100- camera on black friday, and have no idea where to go from there.
Which brand is the best? Is it worth the saving cash and buying a camera later? Does anyone have experience with any of the cameras listed? Any advice would be much appreciated.
Kodak 6MP Digital Camera With Digital Photo Frame $99.99
Polaroid A801 8.0 MegaPixel Digital Camera $79.99
Polaroid i733 7.1 Megapixel Digital Camera $79.99
Polaroid 7.0MP Digtal Camera w/Optical Zoom $89.99
Sony Cyber-Shot 5.8 Megapixel Digital Camera $89.99
Sony CyberShot DSC-S700 7.2 MP Digital Camera $89.99
HP 8-MegaPixel M737 Digital Camera $99.98
Kodak MD853 Slim Digital Camera $89.00
Sony Cybershot DSC S650 7.2MP $79.87
Kodak c713 7MP $89.84
Edit I heard Sony is second-best to Canon so I think this one would be the best Sony CyberShot DSC-S700 7.2 MP Digital Camera $89.99
Any opinions?

I certainly wouldn't rate Sony second to Canon, more like 3rd or 4th in the point & shoot class. However in that list I'd say the DSC-S700 is probably one of the best. Kodak point & shoots are actually pretty decent, HP's too. The only brand in that list I'd avoid is Polaroid -- they really suck. Bought my daughter a Polaroid for Christmas last year, and it was total junk. It wouldn't take usable photos indoors. Bought her an HP a month later for just a little more money, and she loves it. It was a much better camera.
