How to IM someone??

I can't figure out how to IM someone. I know that is probably a stupid statement! But, when I click on the AIM link on their profile, nothing happens or I get an error window. I do have my AIM window open. Can someone tell me how this thing works?

It has never worked for me but I always attributed it to Firefox or my Mac. For a quick alternative, just put your mouse on the AIM button and look at the bottom left of your browser and you will see the code. Like for yours it says

aimgoim?screenname=ImAGirlyGirlNow&message=Hello+Are+you+there?

The "aim" link probably isn't registered to automatically open up AIM for you. The easiest way around this is to just hover over the AIM link and copy the AIM username over.

i.e. "aimgoim?screenname=ImAGirlyGirlNow&message=Hello+Are+you+there?"

The part between "screenname=" and "&" is the username.

I just Right Click ---> Copy Link Location ---> Paste ---> Take out the junk. Oh, and that's when using Firefox. I'm not sure if IE has copy link location.

Yup, it does. It's, "Copy shortcut."

I believe this happens depending on the Browser you use....

The aim button does not work in my OPERA browser but does work in my IE browser... so i think thats the problem.
