I actually just had this problem. I just used a different USB port and a different set of cables and it worked for me

same problem happened to me. these hard drives seem to be ultra sensitive. if you picked it up while it was moving it corrupted the data. happened to me today. hard drive is not recognized on any computer. hello manufacturer warranty. (

the ones that came with it, i borrowed my friends and then it started working, weird.
