internet problem

I had a virus on one of my computers that disabled my internet, i have cleared off most of the virus, but the internet is still not working. I checked the hosts file, and there is nothing unusual there, and I know that the computer has a good connection to the internet. Any other ideas?

Does networking work at all? Can you ping your router or another computer on your network? You're posting this so I assume you have another computer that's getting to the net.

A lot of virii/trojans hook themselves into the LSP stack, and ripping them out will often leave the LSP chain broken, which prevents internet access (or any TCP/IP traffic). Try downloading and running LSP Fix from this site
