Hey guys, I am wondering what is a good digital camera that has movie mode on it soo i can make movies? And I am looken for a camera that the battery does not die soo fast because the camera i have know sucks the battery always dies and ya.

Like you know on some cameras u can record movies and upload them to the computer with the camera..

How good of movie quality are you looking for? Or is it mostly for picture purposes?

Just another thought -- don't buy a digital camera and expect anything short of crap video quality to come out of it. Buy a dedicated video camera if you're looking for anything decent in regards to video quality.

Watch SD for digital cameras. They have them up all the time.

I agree. You should look for a camera that takes good pictures and look for a video camera sometime later. Most cameras nowadays will take video. I LOVE my Canon compact digital camera. It takes great pictures and uses SD memory which is really cheap now (Under $20 for 2GB). I'd suggest this

Nice man i might get that camera. Do u have any pictures u took with the camera i would not mind seeing the quality it has. And it can record videos too! I am really thinkin about that one.

These were taken in Japan. It was very overcast but you can see the camera takes nice pics. My is just the SD300 too...

dang thats nice. I am going to buy the camera tonight maybe from bestbuy online or somewere. And also is the camera is the battery rechargeable? Does it come with a charger?

Yeah Lithium battery so its rechargeable. BestBuy you are going to pay a lot more than other online places. I trust NewEgg and buy from them all the time. SlickDeals has good deals but be careful from who you buy from. I'd check the company first on http//www.resellerratings.com/ because with cameras their are a lot of shady resellers...

I have the Sony CyberShot DSC-W55. It's awesome. 7.2 MP, 3x Optical Zoom, 6x digital zoom, takes awesome video (30 FPS -- TV style). The video is fantastic, and You can take around 30 minutes of video on a 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. D

my experience with a canon elph cameras are great. They are compact with a huge screen, great battery life, pics are easy for a novice, but fun for more advanced photography. Video quality is top notch for a compact camera.

Sonys are crap in my experience. The pics aren't as nice and the memory is more expensive...

But the one I have is awesome...and I didn't pay for it or buy a memory stick. D They quality of my pictures is amazing.

I don't doubt you but the ones I've seen take subpar pictures for cameras at the same price point...

I bought 3 months ago a Canon PowerShot S3IS for $335 CDN (about $300 USD), and I have to say I'm absolutely thrilled with it.

6.1MP, 12x OPTICAL zoom, video capture, and tones of options to get the best picture possible. If you want pics lemme know wink.

Yup, I agree. They sell based on brand name, pulling new camera owners in based on the Sony name. I always advise people to stick with a brand that's established in the camera business, such as Nikon or Canon. The optics and everything else are much better.
