So I need a video converter to convert AVI files into WMV. What program should I use? I don't want to lower the video quality at all either.

VLC is able to transcode. I've done it once or twice, although I prefer River Past Video Cleaner.

Ugg, I have tried SUPER and AVS Video Converter and all these programs want to change my video like quality and ratio size. All I want to do is change the file extension without doing anything different to the video. Is this possible with any programs out there?
I am downloading the River Past right now.

Total Video Converter is what I use.

Impossible if you're going from a lossy format to another lossy format. You can't just change an extensions, the file has to be re-encoded. AVI is not a video format, it's a container -- so if your AVI contains a video encoded with a lossy codec (MPEG4 for instance) and you want it converted to a lossy WMV, then you will see a drop in quality.
There is a lossless WMV format that you could use, it should retain the same quality as the source. I don't recall if SUPER supports it or not, as I never use WMV formats for anything.

I actually noticed an increase in size when I converted from MOV to WMV. The AVI file is still encoding right now and I will tell you how that turns out. I am using River Past now.
