So I got this new Lap Top and it has a 256 MB ATI Radeon Xpress video card which I thought would be adequate. But Vista indexing gave me 2.0 out of 5 and I can't seem to figure out why. I tried playing the lotro beta on the lowest graphic settings and it still had problems.

Your question is kind of unclear, but from my tech opinion is that your indexing is low on vista is not because you have a bad or cheap video card but that the vista indexing is based on a larger scale which includes the top video cards especially vista is so new. And since your video card is from a laptop that on its own will give you a lower indexing.
