So I got my contractor to drill a hole between two walls, so I have two parallel holes on different sides of the wall. I thought it would be fairly simple to just run an ethernet and phone cable through this hole, however, the problem I keep running into is that the cable drops, and that no matter how straight I try to push it, it does not go to the hole, it hits a wall. Any advice or tips of how to do this?

try straigtening a wire hanger and then put that through the whole. attach the cable to the wire and then pull. that should work. any questions, just ask

thats the way I do it... I take a wire hanger, straighten it and then wrap one end around the cable and push it through.... it takes a little bit of practice, but you'll get it

Just use the hanger if you don't have a fishtape. Same idea really. I'd recommend you push the hanger through first, then attach the wires and pull it back through. It's usually easier to pull than it is to push.
