Microsoft Zune....Is it worth getting?

I'm thinking about selling my 30 gig ipod(from Trainn in 2005), I know I won't get much for it and thats fine....however, I want something that's a mixture of a DAP and a PVP....

I like the Cowon A2 but it's too big for casual usuage, I like the Archos 604 as well but the size is a distraction....

I was looking at the zune for it's 2.5 inch screen and also the better sound quality over my ipod, it's bigger than the ipod but I feel I can still carry it to the gym with me...

I use a mp3 player in my car and at the gym.... I don't run which is the reason I stick with a hard drive based player, I have sickle cell trait and my doctor told me not to do things too physical that uses too much energy and running is something that will send me to the hosiptal....

About the features that I'm looking for honestly it's a small list, I mostly want great sound quality, and the ability to watch anime or movies, sometimes porn on my mp3 player. I don't care too much about recording off t.v or fm radio or anything else.... I basically listen to music and sometimes audiobooks and news....

So...with that being said if anyone has a Zune, please let me know if you like it.

Based on the features you want, the Zune sounds like the perfect choice for you. I had a Black Zune and I loved it.

My ipod battery is freezing up on me and that's bad, I'm considering one with a removable hard drive.

I own a 30GB iPod Video, but I would definitely get a Zune. All the bad hype seems to be just that...bad hype. I've tested it in stores and it seems to be pretty slick, 'specially the better video playback. Overall I would say the iPod "setup" is better because the Zune software is not as strong. However, as a device, the Zune has more potential.
