Windows Vista

So I did it.

I installed Windows Vista (Business edition.. whoops.. still has a lot of features though).

It's very nice - beautiful design/layout/interface, great program interaction, fast loading, everything is "pimped out."

Needless to say, I was surprised to say - I love it.

I changed the background.. it just looks amazing.. I sometimes sit and stare at the desktop..

will be installing it on my MacBook Pro when it arrives tomorrow )

I have vista, but there aren't vista drivers out yet for my Asus p4s800d-x mobo.

u guys register it with KMS or what ?

Is vista home basic even worth it? I got it on the dell i just bought, im considering just putting windows xp on it.

I was running Rc1 vista for awhile...just formated back to XP....vista doesn't run the best unless you have a lot of resources. I'll install vista again when i have a better system

Been dual-booting Ultimate for a couple months, since it went RTM. Or rather, I [i61e58e976c]installed[/i61e58e976c] it to dual-boot, but haven't booted it more than twice since then. Too many things it didn't support at the time.

Then I bought a laptop a couple weeks ago. Came with Vista Home Premium. Played with it for about 2 days before formatting and installing Ubuntu Linux. Much happier now. )

I'm waiting for Purdue to either get the Home Premium or the Ultimate edition to get it. Best of all, it'll cost me less than $20.

I'm actually in El Dorado Hills, but my city isn't listed in the weather database, so Folsom is closest ) I love Lake Tahoe... snowboarding/snow/lake = awesome.. glad to see someone from nearby )

I don't have home basic.. I'm running on Vista Business (which has all the features of Ultimate because I've upgraded it).

Try and get Ultimate if you can, the Home Basic/Premium are feature-poor.

And im now installing xp pro.

How do you install Linux? How big is the DL?

I played around with it for about 2-3 hours.

I have 2 gigs of memory, and it was far too slow for my liking.

xp pro is incredibly fast

I've lireallyli thought about giving Ubuntu a try, since dmorris has never steered me wrong.. but I just got my hands on Office 2007 from the Vista Launch Event, and I love it. I'd hate to give up being able to use it.

YAHOOO! I got my macbook today FINALLY!, here's a screen shot of running vista ultimate, xp pro, and X. I Love It! Well, the mac and XP, Vista not so much, it is too slow compared to the others...
