I want to learn how to make a website....

I want to start off small, something like a freewebs.com account then work up to a actual website for opening a business.... anyone have any links to give me that teach you somewhat how to build a website...?

freewebs.com will be used to advertise freebies of course but that's it, I purchased hosting already but don't know how to build a website.
