I'm going to brag about my system now that I have it set up -D
-Intel Pentium D (920) Processor
-Asus P5LD2 board Rev 2.0 (I think. The newest rev that supports Core 2 Duo)
-1GB DDR2 Memory
-500W PSU
-ATI Radeon X1600 512mb Graphics Card
-Cooler Master Case
Everything is running smooth as butter! This machine installed Win XP Pro in under 8 minutes!
The CPU is running at 120F which is pretty cool I'd imagine. Or I hope so. )
Anyway, I'm going to test it out with some photoshop and whatnot tomorrow!

Nice setup, JOSHBOX. I'm envious of that. As for my setup, it's only a few months old but will see an upgrade within 6-8 months to Conroe, DDR2, and a better video card to feed the new monitor I got. Here's the specs
ASUS A8N SLI-32 Deluxe Motherboard
AMD X2 4200+
2GB PC4000 OCZ Gold 3-3-3-8 @ 246mhz
300GB Maxtor SATA 7200RPM (Need to get a Raptor, in due time)
GeForce 7600 GS 512mb DDR2 (Upgrade, soon)
Dell 22'' E228WFP LCD
I was going to get the 24'' but couldn't justify the $300 price difference for an S-PVA or IPS panel, cause I'm not picky - this one looks fantastic with games, and was only $300, so. Looks nice setup in dual screen sometimes with media with my 32'' LCD. I need to get this all setup nicely with my consoles/computer - it would be pretty awesome.
I figured dmorris would have a pimpin' setup, too.. and I was so right.

It's old. It's mostly an upgraded DELL over many years of upgrades. P But hey...I'm playing Counter Strike Source and F.E.A.R. at MAX settings and highest resolution. So it's not that bad. D
It used to be like, 40 GB hard drive, 256 MB RAM, Geforce MX 440 (64 MB card), then I upped it to an extra 200 GB hard drive, BFG Geforce FX 5500 OC, and to 768 MB RAM, and then the new video card + monitor. All over a 5 year period. P
Once I get out of college I'll build the ultimate gaming rig. ;)
