CD Ripping Question

I got the Italian language CDs from xmostwanted and I wanted to put them onto my iPod so that way when I'm traveling I can still keep up with it. I tried importing the songs on the CD into iTunes and then dragging them to the iPod, but that doesn't work.

Is there a better way?

Does it say why it doesn't work? For instance, "that format is not supported" or something?

I lied. It does work, I just had to wait til iTunes finished importing the songs.
