Anyone know of good deals on this? I want a desktop PC with at least 512MB Ram, and I think thats really my requirement shrug

I want it under $200, and that could just be the computer itself, i'll spend a little more for the monitor (although a 15"LCD Monitor and the computer for around $200 would be nice.

This is just for my 2nd computer, i'll be selling my vaio laptop, getting this and a macbook.

So does anyone know of any good deals out there?

Dell Outlet typically has some great prices. If you aren't looking for anything fancy, and just want a solid, low-noise PC, they are perfect.

There's several for just over $200. Or, if you're willing to drop a little more, you can get a system with a monitor as well through their regular store

i'd be game for building it, i have minor experience with computer things... the only thing I see a problem with is how to mak ethe HD work right and knowing what parts I need to buy...

If your willing to link me to everything I need, and it's a good price, i'd prolly send a few bucks your way and lots of Karma!

I do like the looks of the dell's though... I'm willing to spend more on the monitor, I want like a 19" or 20" widescreen probably, maybe even a 22" widescreen but that is getting a bit pricey for me...

i have gotten about 4 dells of my own in my lifetime. i love them. i also built my own. if this is NOT a main pc and will not need much processing power in video or processor then you may be able to get a lot of the stuff free after rebate.
anandtech.com has some great forums.

Ok, so i've decided i'll try to build my own PC, I think i'm going to start with a barebone kit... I've been looking around for good deals and if I buy by tomorrow I found one that I think will be perfect for what I need for $100... http//www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2568856&sku=M452-2660%20A

then i'm going to buy a DVD±R Burner (24.99) and 512MB of ram (29.99) from TigerDirect.com

(DVD±R) http//www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1740403&sku=L12-1076
(Ram) http//www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=586829&sku=ULT30215

I can get a new 160GB HD on ebay for $60...

So that covers all of these
Case
Power Supply
Processor
MoBo
Disk Drive
HD
Ram

Now what else am I missing?

What do I need to buy to get wireless internet?

Does everything seem to add up so far?

I have to make my purchase from tiger direct by the 30th, so I don't have much time to make sure everything is right... So far my total will be $214.97, plus a little bit for shipping so say $220. I know i'm missing a few things but i'm not for sure what... Do I need to buy a graphics card? I won't be playing games or anything on it, just surfing the web and simple things...

If I could get by with what I have lined up to purchase that would be great, I'd just have to buy a monitor and then i'll be set... Any help is greatly appreciated!

Don't spread false information. TigerDirect certainly isn't NewEgg, but they are a reputable company for the most part. All the stories about TD not fulfilling rebates are from several years ago. More importantly, unless you're submitting a rebate TO TD (as in they (or their agent) are fulfilling it), then your beef would be the manufacturer of the product, or the company fulfilling the rebate, not TD.
