Okay, I am so backwards in my house! I need to go wireless with several systems, but have NO friggen clue how to even begin. Currently, we have a cable modem. Do the routers come with good directions, or will I screw up something? Karma to anyone who truely helps me out on this.

Any Wireless Linksys Router will work great for someone that isn't familiar with how they work...

So do you just want to share the Internet from the cable modem via wireless? if so just get a Wireless Linksys Router they are basically plug-in and be on your way ... but i'd advise setting up some of the security on them. (some is better then none!) ;)

The new linksys comes with a instruction manual and it is easy to add security. I set my girlfriend's up in about 10 minutes, and that included 4 minutes of updating the firmware.

Yup...want to be able to have the kids computers online now. Only mine is online at this time. Is the security that comes with it adequate, or do I need more? +Karma for both of you.......as soon as I can. Thanks again!

Linksys Routers offers WEP, WEP2 and WGA security... WGA is the most secure, but not all devices support it... If all your devices in the house support WGA, then I'd highly recommend you use it...

Also, you might want to consider using MAC Address filtering and turning off Wireless Broadcasting so only your devices can see and establish a connection with the router.
