Tholek's post about ImageZoom gave me an idea. Post what firefox plugins you use, and what they do.
I am using just ImageZoom and AI Roboform.

Adblock Plus - blocks ads (very helpful for those annoying flashing ones)
FoxyTunes (you can control your music from Firefox because you're a lazy ass who doesn't want to switch windows)
Forecast Fox (has the current weather and forecast info in your area)
ImageZoom ( ;) )
Tabbbrowser Preferences (more advanced things you can do with tabs)
Talkback (sends crash info to mozilla or something, I think it automatically came with 2.0)
Screen capture of theme ---

I had a bunch more on my old computer. I should probably get around to getting a few more.

If you guys could, write what each of them do, the main thing was to expose people to newer plugins that they themselves could find and use.

Or, they could just trust in my impeccable taste, and just search what I posted. ;)

Yeah but that would require them searching for plugins they probably will not use at all.

libumping this thread...li
Does anyone have a Firefox add-on that lets you move things around at the top? I want to move my ForecastFox stuff over to the right, but it won't let me do that in the options. I also want to move some other stuff around up there. Understand what I mean?
Here's what it looks like right now --
http/" alt=""/img231.imageshack.us/img="231/8559/screenshotgz2.png[" alt=""/img39dc4da5c8]
Too lazy to resize, I've messed around in Ubuntu long enough today lol.)
I know that there is an extension that exists to do this because I've done it before. It lets you customize the toolbars too. I'll keep looking...

Nevermind, I figured it out. D

[b29ded25577]Adblock Plus[/b29ded25577] (Self explanatory)
[b29ded25577]Greasemonkey [/b29ded25577](Extension that uses scripts to add functions to a webpage, the scripts can be found at http//userscripts.org/)
Some scripts I run using Greasemonkey are here
http//userscripts.org/users/41085/favorites
[b29ded25577]Stylish [/b29ded25577](Lets you use CSS to skin a specific website to your liking)
[b29ded25577]Linkification [/b29ded25577](Turns text links into clickable links, useful for GameFAQs forums and other places where HTML is disabled)
[b29ded25577]Meebo[/b29ded25577] Sidebar (log into meebo to use aim, msn, icq, jabber, gtalk, Y! IM)
[b29ded25577]Target Alert [/b29ded25577](shows what kind of file you're about to download by displaying an icon next to it, helpful for warning you of PDF downloads)
[b29ded25577]Foxmarks [/b29ded25577](synchronize your bookmarks across multiple computers, all you need is to setup an account on foxmarks.com and you can download your bookmarks remotely)
That's about all I can remember right now. My work PC doesn't have all the extensions I have at home =P

[b62ddbada9a]Fasterfox [/b62ddbada9a]- Supposedly makes firefox and webpage loading much faster, but I fail to see a difference... yet it's still installed =P

@J4320 All you have to do is right-click next to "Help", click on customize. Find "Flexible Space", then drag and drop it between "Help" and where your Forecastfox begins. That should set it all the way to the right.

Even at the very basic, I need to have Firefox with
[listb73da135a5]AdBlock Plus - blocks ads, with whitelist options[/listub73da135a5]
[listb73da135a5]No Script - allows more control over webpages loading scripts[/listub73da135a5]
[listb73da135a5]CustomizeGoogle - at the least, allows you to remove ads from Google[/listub73da135a5]
[listb73da135a5]Google Preview - shows the webpage next to the search link[/listub73da135a5]
[listb73da135a5]Tabbrowser Preferences - more control over the way your tabs are set up than FF[/listub73da135a5]
[listb73da135a5]Smart Bookmarks Bar - turns your bookmark toolbar into icons only, saves space[/listub73da135a5]
[listb73da135a5]IE View - embeds Internet Explorer based webpages in a FF tab[/listub73da135a5]
Optional on other comps I'm running
[listb73da135a5]Chatzilla - an IRC client[/listub73da135a5]
[listb73da135a5]Forecastfox - local weather through Accuweather[/listub73da135a5]
[listb73da135a5]Fasterfox - a pre-fetching extension, speeds up browsing - some[/listub73da135a5]
Also, tweaking it through [bb73da135a5]aboutconfig[/bb73da135a5]
Nothing really slows down my computer except maybe Forecastfox, it updates about every 15 minutes without an option to adjust it.
Edit I'm running all those and some others on a Toshiba laptop with Win2k, an IBM T-22 Thinkpad with Zenwalk 5.0 GNU/Linux, a Dell 4300 Dimension - Zenwalk, and an old Compaq Deskpro multi-booting with a variety of Linux OSs on it. The only problem I have is, you can't running IE View on a Linux OS.

DownloadHelper- Lets you download flash videos.. For example a youtube video, you can download it directly onto your computer. But i mainly use it for shows videos, i download em, then transfer the flash video onto my MP3 player (you also gotta use a video converter to switch it from flash to mpeg or whatever you want)
Pearl Crescent Page Saver- Lets you capture images of web pages. These images can be saved in PNG or JPEG format. Using Page Saver, you can capture an entire page. So in other words if i wanted to take a screen shot of this whole thread, it would capture it all, not just what my screen is looking at, pretty sweet.
