Dell coupons/savings?

So I've got two unrelated missions with Dell this holiday season. My mother in law needs me to get Dell desktop put together for her for as cheap as possible. First off, don't tell me to build the PC myself - this isn't an option, as she lives 200+ miles from me, and I don't want to be providing the tech support for her. I've got a decent system picked out for her, with a 2 year service plan.

Also, I'm going to be picking up a laptop for my wife for Christmas.

Anyone have a good source for coupon codes or advice for savings?

I've been looking around as well. My brother needs a laptop for college and need a good deal (preferably from Dell). If you're a previous Dell buyer, I'd say look out for coupons they give out to them, they can be damn good.

Here are a few coupons ---

I didn't look too far into it though so they might be expired. I'd say just keep Googling and you should find some good coupons and deals.

ebay. I used a 25% off coupon from ebay and it saved me a good chunk of money.

I'll add to this, what does everyone think about the option to upgrade to Vista? I'm not to sure about it.

I'd wait to get Vista, at least till one service pack comes out. I highly doubt that Vista won't have any major bugs in it when it first comes out. Most mid-range computers are Vista-ready so it shouldn't be a matter of compatibility.

Nice. How much do they sell for usually (the coupons)?

I think they're a dollar or two at most.

+kma to all of you! No, not the actual FIPG forum karma, the kind of karma that really matters.. the next time something good happens to you, it's because of this thread. The next time something bad happens though, well, I guess you shouldn't have flamed someone in that other thread.

Thanks everyone!!

FiPG KMA is the ONLY type that counts
