my system runs slow as hell now, I've done everything like cleaning all junk files etc etc spyware scans etc etc - this is my spec
P4 640
3.2Ghz, 2MB, FSB800
2048MB DDR2 533Mhz
250gb HDD 7200rpm
Win XP media centre
Radeon X550
Starting it up takes like 1 minute 30 and I know when I 1st had it (5 month) it was like 20 seconds. But then simple tasks like opening firefox etc etc is taking forever as well.
TIPS PLZ??

Since you've done the prerequisite scanning... Click Run > Start > MSCONFIG [hit enter] go to startup and try disabling everything and reboot. If that fixes it, you just had junk running in the background that is slowing your machine down. Legit programs have a tendency to slow down computers just as much as illegitimate ones do.

Yea the only thing that boots up, is trend micro, and my dsl.

Here is your problem

try disabling trend in msconfig. that program has caused performance problems in my experience.
