Does anyone know of a good small laser printer? It doesn't matter if it's color or not. It just needs to be small and affordable.
I saw the HL-2040 on Amazon

But I was wondering if there was anything better/cheaper I could look at.
I have other printers hooked up to other computers on my little network but they get shut off at night (computers are located next door at my mom's business) and I can't print essays and stuff for school from my room.

This was in SD but it's dead (Samsung printer for $40 or less w/ coupon)

They always seem to have crazy deals on the Samsungs and the toners are apparently easy to refill. Maybe you can wait for a similar deal to come back. Buy.com I think has these cheap sometimes too. You can check to see if the Brother printers have toners like, could save you tons.

The little Samsung and Brother lasers are cheap and effective. For the price they're hard to beat.

ML 1710 here from a Staples deal about 3 years ago...I bought a toner refill kit from tonerkits.com 6 months ago, and refilled my original toner cartridge for $7. The printers are fast, efficient and cheap. Hard to pass up.

Heh, I bought my laser printer brand new from CDW in 1993. An Epson ActionLaser 1500 (I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Epson whore). Its still going strong, prints great, and is only about mid-way through its 2nd toner cartridge -- which is a good thing because those damn cartridges retail for almost $200. When this one is finally gone I'll probably buy a nice color laser. )
