Video game sales figures

Is anyone aware of a reliable source for video game sales figures on a weekly, monthly, or annual basis? I know that NPD Funworld has point-of-sale data, but I think they charge a ton for it--I'm looking primarily for an alternative to NPD Funworld, or for a free hookup to most or all of their data.

When I first saw this site, I found a lot of people questioning the accuracy of the numbers. But I appreciate the reminder, and I'll look at it closely again.
