I don't really know a ton about GPU speeds and such, but when this standard is released and there are available cards, games are going to blow my mind. Here are some examples.

Been waiting a long time for Crysis. It's predecessor (FarCry) is probably my favorite SP FPS of all time, and Crysis aims to totally obliterate it.

Damn... That almost makes me want to build a gaming rig. shock

Crysis is the follow-up to FarCry by the CryTek folks . It's actually the name of the graphics engine used to develop the game, so that may not actually be the release name for the game.

Actually, I heard the first DX10 card should arrive sometime in November.
The NVIDIA 8800GTX and the NVIDIA 8800GT. ;)
Both will be DirectX 10 compatible. Yay.

Guess what? Fuck the PS3 and the Xbox 360 they don't have DX10. Only PC does. Cyrotek already said that they can not release to EITHER system because they are not fast enough (not DX10) to run there new game. Viva la Vista and the new age of computer gaming!
