Doesn't work for everybody, didn't work for me. I think either the Digg traffic killed it, or they're random about offering it. Lots of Digg folks, myself included, joined and never got the free song graphic or link.
So bah...

Really? That's weird. Because when you go to the group it would be on the top, and then you could click "retrieve songs" or something. If it still go to the group (I left it), there's a big ad in it that says you can get free music.

Not for I. I left the group and just looked up the group again. Still no free iTunes ad. I know what it's supposed to look like because some Digg'ers were posting screenshots when others couldn't see it.
Are you using Firefox or IE?
It might also be a regional promo, based upon IP location. shrug

Yeah I tried this yesterday when I saw it on digg and it didn't work for me either. I was rather disappointed. (

worked from me, i am from the northeast though. location could perhaps have something to do with this maybe.
