I bought a few iPhones from the Apple Store and figured I'd see if anyone on here wanted to buy one.

You have to activate a service plan to even just use it as an iPod.
And you can get them at the Apple Store for $499 & $599 without signing the contract...however to actually use the product at all you need the service activated.

the resale value on these is terrible.
