I would at least get rid of the black/dark backgrounds (red on black is really dated, and dark brown on black is illegible) and change the red text to a (light) maroon, and I bet your site would look much nicer.

The site isn't that bad looking. But it reminds me of like goth or something. You should use bright colors.
