I have a like new Samsung 42" Plasma TV (http//www.samsung.com/Products/TV/PlasmaTV/HPS4273XXAA.asp) in perfect condition. It's been lightly used for about a month. Seeing as how I spend more time on my computer than I do watching TV, I am thinking about getting a different TV and upgrading my computer. I am selling the TV for $1500 + shipping. It still has 1 year and 10.5 months of the warranty left. I will also trade the TV for a Macbook Pro (Core 2 Duo version). I will also be including a free wall mount and a Sherwood RD8108 A/V Receiver. Please contact me if interested

I don't see how. It's a plasma, which is less quality then LCD, and you can get a 40" LCD on Amazon for $1,399 shipped, brand new. There's also a 50" plasma from Phillips for $999.99 + Tax. But goodluck to you I guess.

I wish people would take their uninformed opinions somewhere else... If there is a 50" Plasma for 999.99, its probably because its not great quality. Generally LCD is better for computer type applications and repetitive content, and Plasmas are better for 'everyday' use... video games, movies, tv (sports especially) ... Also, quality differs between each model. Some models have great pictures and good color reproduction and some dont. There are lots of factors that go into the quality and pricing of a given display model. Why dont you go do some research before you come in here and talk ignorantly... sheesh

Well, you didn't really address anything I mentioned above, which shows that you are not well informed... You can do a price search on the internet... woohooo, big deal. Considering that I am also including an Audio Video Receiver and a wall mount and that the cost of the TV from pricemad is still over $1500 with shipping, my offers is still a good deal. Please don't post anymore on my thread if you aren't interested.

I am interested, I'm just not interested in paying $1,500 for it.

If you do a Google search for HP-S4, you get no results. You know why? Because it's HP-S4273. Maybe you yourself are a bit uninformed about your own TV?

Also, the 50" is actually $1,399 regular as a refurbished model, but there is a $400 off + free shipping coupon. New, the thing costs $3,000. I'm just guessing that since it costs about double what this thing costs, it is better.

Since you are so inflexible, I guess all I can say is goodluck.

Also, are you aware that the Macbook Pro (Core 2 Duo version) is at least $1,700? You should offer the TV plus $200 cash for one of those.

Try again... Uninformed?...you see the link I put to the manufacturers site? you ever stop to think that maybe the title was too long and they cut off the ending (so it appeared at HP-S4 instead of HP-S4273)? I highly doubt that a refurbished unit is selling for less than half off... that usually only happens when the model is old and about to be discontinued. As far as the price goes, i didn't say i was looking for a new MBP... and i am also throwing in other things to even the values up. So once again, please stop bothering me and crapping on my thread ....I wouldn't sell it to you even if you wanted to pay the full amount so you really have no reason to keep posting here. good luck in your search

Alright, enough threadcrapping OMW. Let him ask whatever they want for their TV.

And I too wish people would stop making such uninformed comments like "It's a plasma, which is less quality then LCD." We've had the technical discussions already -- several times -- so I won't repeat that here. Suffice to say that, comparing apples to apples and taking pros/cons into account, a plasma will typically own LCD for TV purposes, especially at large screen sizes.

Thanks dmorris68... glad to see someone who is also tired of the threadcrapping... Plasmas & LCD's have their own advantages, but people should always buy whatever suits them best.

I made a mistake. The TV comes with a 2 year warranty, so it has 1 year and 10.5 months left on that warranty. Thanks
