Shipping from Alaska wouldn't be really expensive...
It will cost more... However, if you use the United States Postal Service, it's about a few dollars more than it would be from state-to-state in the Lower 48 but that's it... FedEx and UPS on the other hand... They'll gouge you for living in Alaska.

$700 plus shipping (method of shipping [usps, ups, fedex] + options) will be entirely your choice and I will scale the weight and quote the shipping cost based on zip code using their website.
I will hold the PS3 for you guys until tommorow to give you some time to think about it, but if I don't get an offer by then, I'm going to have to return it (I need the money for my bi-annual insurance payment).
It seems as though the cost of shipping is the same if it was sent from Seattle... I calculated the postage from Alaska to New Jersey and calculated the same weight from Seattle to New Jersey and it's the same $23.85 for Priority (2 days), $44.10 for Express (overnight to most areas)... Anyways, if you're interested, let me know the zip code and I'll check. But I've tried several zip codes so far and I'm getting the same rate.
I guess shipping from Alaska doesn't cost any more than shipping from Seattle shrug
The PlayStation 3 weighs 12 pounds.

Are you sure it's only $44 for express? I shipped my ps3 via USPS EXPRESS with Insurance from Missouri to Texas and it cost $69!

That's the quote I was given (less the insurance) shrug
The sale is off unless I receive a definite offer on it by tommorow (no holding). I haven't received any final offers on the PS3 so it's going back tommorow (if weather permits).
