I called up my Target today just for kicks to see if they had any Playstations, and they told me no and they didn't know when they would get any, but they did tell me they'd have Wii's on the 17th....
First come, first serve.
You could make $150-$200 with it on eBay now, and that price might go up in 12 days.

most walmarts/k marts/target/rhinos are getting them on the 17..so i doubt one could make such a profit.

Me and 4 friends are gonna camp out at like 500 pm saturday, you think that's early enough to be first in line? Also, only 2 of us want Wii's and we want 2 each, so can our other 2 friends buy them with our money? (we pay for our friends)
And last... Will any given target have four wii's?

Yeah that's fine. That's what I did for the PS3. I paid my friend to wait with me and we both got one......We were first in line, and 36 hours early )

I just watched one sell for $470 on eBay....
$470 on eBay - $250 for the system - $50 tax+fees =
$170? I'll wait in line for 15 hours to make $170, which is more then $10 an hour.....and it's not like being at work....

That may be true as of right now but if every store is going to be getting more on sunday then there will be more on ebay meaning they arent going to sell for as much, i still think they will go for more than retail but i dont think much more. I went to my bestbuy today and he said the 17 and he didnt know how many, i might just go a few minutes before they open and see if i can get one.

Yeah but like I said before, all stores got in shipments on Dec. 3rd, and IMO I think prices are up a little since two/three weeks ago. I sold mine to YGF for something like $550 with a game, and this was Nov. 20th I believe....I remember that same week they were going for like $325 and I thanked my stars I got to YGF before that.....
Now they're back up.....
Who knows. PS3 is going up for auction tomorrow, seven day auction...... Ending on the 20th...
Just in time for people to get the perfect christmas present at double retail

the last week is going to probably see a jump in price of both systems, since people will start getting desperate to get one. For every 1 person that gets a wii, there are 3 that waited in line and didnt.
again I cant go wait though, going to be at a graduation party saturday night.

Heh, the wife and I were buying groceries at WM last night and I made my ritual pass through electronics. The lady working there was complaining to a couple of other employees and a customer that customers keep telling her they saw on the internet that WM was getting a Wii shipment on Sunday. She was saying it was news to her, that they hadn't been told anything about a shipment. I'm tempted to drive over there in a minute and see if any showed up. I wasn't that interested in a Wii, as I'm more of the high-end console type, but I have to admit I'm intrigued by what I'm hearing of the "fun-factor" of the system. My wife and daughter would almost certainly prefer something like this over the 360 and PS3.

Thanks for the tip! I picked mine up at Best Buy for $270 with tax and dropped it off and Target for $480! D I showed up at around 800 PM and waited with 4 friends till 800 am, (we we first in line) so I guess that $16.7 an hour just for sitting around lol

My Wii ended today for $495. High bidder = 44% feedback. -1.

Second highest bidder was 490. So gay! I already sent a second chance offer, then if he doens't take it, I can list a one day auction starting tomorrow morning at 11, then it will end Friday morning, still ship it by Friday before 5PM so it'll get there Saturday, in time for Christmas!
