He probably opened it way before the new iPod announcement.

but if you were gonna sell it (because the ipod is pretty much untouched),

why open it in the first place?

if you read the description, it's a direct replacement... original was having battery issues

I sent in my old one that I've had/and used since Feb

yea you fucked yourself by opening it up. I had mine sealed and I returned it today and payed a 16 dollar difference once I traded in my old ipod to get an 80gb. I asked what would have happened if I had opened the plastic wrapping, and I would've gotten a 10 percent discount if I had.

you returned a direct replacement?

the replacement didnt come in a retail box... no plastic wrapping, just a cardboard box. I opened the shipping box not knowing the replacement wasnt in a sealed box.

Starting the bid at $200 was a bad idea.

I am no ebay expert. what should i have started it at?

$0.99. You could put a reserve of $200 to ensure someone bids at least $200 on it for you to sell it, but the lower the starting price the better, generally.

relisted due to prob with buyer. prob should have taken ilan advice, but to relist and get my fees back on the first one I cant have a reserve unless the original did..
