I have a Gary Fisher Hoo Ko E Koo 2005 bike, literally have rode it 2 miles, on paved roads... been in my basement since I got it other than those 2 rides... Sweet bike, make me an offer )

check your local craigslist - depending on the time of year, you can get some amazing deals. I was this | | close to buying a $4000 road bike that was priced well-under market value, early in January of this year.

Thanks for looking CG...I actually just found a nice looking one on the local CL. anyone ever bought something like this on CL? looking to spend $100-$150 (i know it sounds cheap, but i don't mind buying a good used bike.

Detroit right? I must have missed it. I was just looking for Tek or Specialist though. I've never bought bikes off of CL, but I bought a propane tank from a guy in Canton, and sold my old Xbox on there.

That's Trek and Specialized ;)

Also check out Gary Fisher, Cannondale, GT, Giant, Klein, Kona, even Schwinn. At your price range, any of the above bikes will work great.

I'm in Boston, I just bought an old (but in great condition) Fuji Gran Toure road bike from CL. Great price, but I friggen got a flat biking to the subway this morning.

haha...you always seem to get flats a the worst time. I was bmx-ing around detroit and got on on the complete opposite side of town...its a nice hike
